"The conceit of Mouth Silence is that it's in a world where Smash Mouth does not exist." That's the most pretentious thing both in verbiage and delivery that's ever been true of that album. I don't believe that anybody feels.

neil cicierega says that this is a universe where smash mouth does not exist, which exists parallel to a universe where ONLY smash mouth exists. this album was recorded the day before the divide between the two universes dissolves in fire and blood.

@@robbe2647 If you arrange the tracks in alphabetical order, the track number listed in the meta data spell out parts of the lyrics in Ascii code. Many of the tracks also have a droning bass, if you speed it up by about 1000% (ten times normal speed) you get the beginning of All Stars spread across all those tracks. In one of the songs you hear a beep, that is morse code for parts of the lyrics. There's a bunch of other references to All Star hidden through that album as well. Those are just the ones I've found so far.

all tracks on this album, if unedited, are dated the date before smash mouth released their first album iirc the previous mouth album had every track dated to be the day the first smash mouth album releases

Holy hell, I had no idea that the guys that did Friday Night did Desert Bus for Hope

The song by itself already makes me laugh slightly hysterically, but then this video just made me actually cry with laughter. So many things that I love about this, but Beej's lip syncing is one of the top moments.

This is probably my favourite video on KZread, I always come back to see the people’s reactions of listening to Neil cicierega for the first time.

Welcome to Desert Bus for Hope! A charity fundraiser for the charity Child's Play, which supplies toys, books, games and other joy items to children's hospitals, in which they play Desert Bus, considered to be the worst game ever created, for as long as people keep donating money. The game is entirely what you saw in the corner, just a straight stretch of highway which the player is doomed to drive down in real time. It goes from Tuscon, Arizona to Las Vegas Nevada, a distance of 360 miles, at 45 miles per hour, again, in real time. It takes 8 hours. There is no pause. There are no passengers. There is nothing except the occasional bus stop. Also, the bus's steering is busted so it just gently slides over to the right. Move too far over on either side and you crash and you have to be towed back in real time. When you get to the destination, you get one point and you go back around and do it again. The listening to Wndrwll was a part of a challenge, which they do to help raise money. They become your monkeys, and you may make them do what ever you wish, as long as you chuck 'em a couple of bucks.
