DB Carbon Fiber & HRE Wheel Install - Porsche 992 Turbo S w/ Time Lapse
Here's a video where we install some exterior trim parts done in carbon fiber by DB Carbon. We have front and rear bumper, engine and spoiler pieces. We also put on some custom HRE wheels. Another epic project from The Stockpile.

Good stuff! 🙏🏼
This is a great video! Those sensors were a pain but it all came out amazing! Well done.
i love time lapse
cant wait to see u tune it. and love how u did the whole car in carbon, insane!
Beautiful as all your builds ….. keep it up
GRANDE PORSCHE 🇮🇪 ❤️ 👍 🔝
Thanks Cam, another great video. Why was there a fitting issue with the front parking sensors? How come you choose to have DB finish the CF in gloss and then ppf in satin, rather than just have them produce the part in satin. I finally got a chance to test drive the turbo s yesterday at the Porsche experience center here in England….even more impressive than the car’s acceleration is it’s stopping power, I did a bunch of 0-60-0 launches and the brakes are truly remarkable….what a car!

I'm not 100% sure on the sensors- they were only off an 1/8 inch so that may have been another part of the PPF issue. I went with gloss because I figured at some point I may want to do a satin wrap on the car body and then I would want the carbon to be gloss (either way the carbon parts need some type of film protection- so I felt like this gave more more options). Awesome! I'm so stoked for you! They *are* absolute brake monsters. One of the best all around cars IMO.

@@TheStockpile You went the correct route, as far as I know it’s not really feasible to wrap matte finish parts with PPF as the film will not bond to the surface the way it does with a gloss finish. So it’d be much more difficult to protect the parts if they’re matte finish direct from DB.
I am getting my Turbo S end of July and I ordered some stuff from DB carbon. Can you tell me if the side vents just pop out? Also is the rear wing really worth it. I looked at the ones from suncoast and DMC and don't like either.

Congrats! The side vents do just pop out, yes. I think the rear wing is worth it, but that's just my personal opinion.
Hi there, your car looks amazing! If you don't mind sharing, what are your offsets on the HRE wheels and how/how much did you lower the car? I'm thinking of getting a set of HRE R101 LWs for mine and how your car sits is exactly what I was aiming for.

Thanks so much! Front wheels: 20”x9.5” ET 36 Rear wheels: 21”x12” ET 60. Car is lowered on 992 Techart springs- I'm not sure what the drop ended up being, but if someone uses Techart it will be the same as mine.

Thank you so much for getting back to me! Looking forward to whatever’s in store for the future with your beautiful car.
Hi. That’s great video. I intend to buy some DBcarbon parts for my GTS. Did you have any import taxes for those parts? I worry because parts were shipped from Germany. Thank you for your reply! West Linn, Oregon

Yes, there are definitely import taxes. Usually DB Carbon ships DHL and so they will send you an invoice. Additionally there are state taxes that you are on the hook if the parts are for personal use (these days many shippers send information to state governments about the value of imported goods).

How much lighter does it make the car?

It's really just cosmetic- the carbon is overlaid onto the existing pieces. I imagine it actually makes the car slightly heavier. For me it's a look thing, not weight reduction. However, the wheels knock off twenty pounds and so, overall, the car *is* lighter than before.
