Daytona USA Arcade: All Tracks - Hardest Difficutly

Ойындар

Welp, I think I got a handle on this. Someone point me to the nearest Dave and Busters... or that arcade in Pelham New Hampshire. As if I haven't thrown enough tokens at this thing in my lifetime and yet more shall be thrown.
This video was done using the model 2 emulator which is pretty damn good all things considered though there is a setting for the authentic texture pop in which I have omitted. The only thing I truly miss from the cabinet is the force feedback wheel which does makes things a hell of a lot easier.
Yes I know my times are not optimal. Just my racing line is planned out to win the game with the lowest possibly of error especially on the expert track. Well, that and the AI keeps getting in the way. However, the advanced track ended up being a master class on "How many times I can balls up and still win the race".

11:31 That's how you do that turn! I really miss playing this game on a four-car layout at an arcade in Plaza Alexis-Nihon in Montreal! The 1990s were great for massive technological leaps in arcade games before consoles took over.

Good racing and nice lines on expert! Just found and repaird 3 Daytona usa Twin cabs. Sold 1 and kept 2 twins for my greedy self :) And yes force feedback and the audio makes the game way more fun.

The Daytona cab at my local arcade runs on these settings. Hard getting used to them, but $50 worth of tokens later and I've got the hang of it.

The technology back then was still in its infancy, but this game was still a huge leap at the time. Just the boards alone cost about fifteen grand when they were new!

I liked the arcade version of Daytona USA the most. Sega Saturn and Dreamcast versions were still fun since aside of wheel- to- controller the general game mechanics changed very little once it went over to console. Never ran it on console with a force feedback wheel and pedal, personally.
