@RanGer-498 They might not see it as a car. But we do. Front windshield, Has a steering wheel and Seat belts. Has a Chevrolet motor in it. It's a car.

Agree 100% with you about Slingshots. Also, really discouraged about the intimidation of law enforcement at key venues. Their presence says DONT STOP HERE OR WELL GET YOU. It sucks!!!

Get a bumper sticker that says "Not A Real Biker! REEEEEEEEEE!" 😂 I love the trailer! Then you get to take the bike, the golf cart, the scooter, liquor, food.... so much savings and convenience. You do you Brother!

I live about an hour from Daytona. I have no desire to be surrounded by the craziness, but I love motorcycles and riding. Here's an option: Meet up with your buddies, and go for a ride. There are several decent places to ride not far from Daytona. If you want ideas, let me know. I know dozens of good roads in the area.

We have 2 Harley's with sidecars and two without. Most people on two wheels couldn't ride a bike with a sidecar and do it well. It's a learned skill. And, when we go to rallies, we can fit a whole week worth of groceries for three couples in the sidecar. And yes, it is a motorcycle!! Two Ultra Classics. Keep up the good work Professional Monkey!!

Love sidecars. I remember the first time I saw an Ural. Takes skill to handle those though corners for sure. Ride safe!

I love Daytona. I ride down by myself, I buy bike stuff, walk around, people watch, go to bike shows and ride around the swamps/forests. You are right about the douchebags…. Hotel prices suck because I am not a camper.

Loud pipes has already been on the books just like in all the other states and our Intersection/Parking lot burnout takeover law went through Tallahassee several years ago and got passed so... if you promote/video/post to social media without proper press credentials you can be charged.

Use to ride down to Daytona every year but when hotels hit 350-400+ per night we quit going. Just not worth it

Agree about the doucebag factor and the Slingshot hate but I'll throw in a CanAm slant, I was trying to think up a derogatory name for the 3 wheeler and was stumped, then while sitting on the ledge outside Froggy's quite a few years ago with a old racing buddy of mine that has been coming to Daytona for the 'Races' since 1956, as a CanAm went by he said "Dare goes one of dem 'Zero Turns"! I laffed PERFECT! Remember on the CanAm's, in many states you don't need a M/C endorsement to ride them, just have to view a Safety DVD before riding. (and lets not even go into the 'Trikes'... TrikeWeek anyone?) Oh and another thing out by the Cabbage Patch/Cackleberry that would probably not be a 'Daytona' cop but our County Sheriff's.

When i was the Warranty Manager and shop Foreman at Low Country HD in South Carolina, we used to ship guys to (then) Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona for bike week, and they in turn would send people to out Myrtle Beach Stores for out Rallies, and i got sent to Daytona a couple of times to work long rally hours but our night life was fun, but i will say i preferred the fall Daytona to the spring, but like for you Sturgis is your Favorite, and for me it's Laconia, in many way Laconia is a smaller version of Sturgis, because New Hampshire and Maine have beautiful Mountains and lakes like Sturgis, and then an hour away from Laconia HQ in the NH/Maine Beaches some of the most beautiful in the world, and to me Laconia being the 1st, it's also the last of the OLD Biker Rallies, My 2nd favorite is Myrtle Beach, it's a bit disorganized and the town of MB has tried to kill it for years, but again it's to me a bikers Rally..........Daytona and Sturgis to me are more the Celebrity Rallies, the big stars and world travelers go to those 2 rallies, where Laconia and Myrtle beach are smaller and even though we have riders from all over the world, it's still a lot more regional in the NH and SC Rallies and there are more people on BIKES and less in Campers, not that there is anything wrong with campers, the New Hampshire Speedway Campground is quickly becoming like the Sturgis campgrounds. But No matter Hope you and your wife have a Great time in Daytona, and a safe week, and maybe one day before i DIE lol i'll Talk y'all into trying LACONIA !!

For me bike week is about seeing the new bikes and the supercross races

If you get a chance to go to Saint Augustine before you cross the lions bridge, going into town on the left-hand side is a restaurant that has the best shrimp, best vegetables and homemade pies cash only fifth generation it is called. O’steen’s. They have other things to pick from two but I’ve been going there for 27 years. I love their shrimp.

I roll may may through Main street.. I am not a fan of that part of bike week. I prefer all the broken spoke, beaver bar and Cacklebury / cabbage patch.

I can’t stand people rolling up in my lane beside me, if I don’t know them. At least, now I know that I am not alone.

If you haven't tried Myrtle Beach bike week it's a great time. Been there for the past 24 years and I love it.

Aaaaaaaamennnnnn on the DB Factor at Daytona! Amen the Daytona Bike Week Cops need to take a chill pill. (I’m a retired cop) It makes me upset cuz it’s the first big rally of the year. I’d love to go south and ride. But there also aren’t a ton of places to ride to. I’ll just save my money and go to Sturgis. Also the dominant down there is nowhere near as nice as Sturgis.

That K of D sign behind you is kinda freaking me out. Anyway, I think Daytona has more of a fun factor if you’re from the cold and frozen north. As far as the cops, I think they walk a line of being too strict vs just keep people safe because Daytona residents are hammered all year long with Speed Weeks, Daytona 500 massive crowds, Bike Week, Black Bike Week, a months worth of Spring break crowds, Jeep Beach, July NASCAR race, tourists all year long, Biketoberfest, Turkey Rod Run at the Speedway and then events for the Holidays. Sturgis is a sleepy little town that has one event and I think the residents actually enjoy the revenue and put up with the crowds.

Daytona cop issue is because of the news hound chief. Does crap for self promotion. If you ride to daytona one year...you have seen it all. Every year is the same vendors,bands,etc. The only changes are strippers slinging drinks. No point in going there

Daytona used be the shiznet back in 95 & 2000. Went in 08 never again. Even Sturgis not what it used to be. Still love doing the fall ride in Tennessee mountains.

the lot at the end i love to use that's at almost at the turn around spot on main st across from the gas station show that happens. Rather not park on main st because of what I've seen the couple of past times i've been drop their bikes trying to get on to leave OR the cops think they have a stolen bike end up nearly dropping one onto other bikes and beat and bang on the other bikes next to the one they are looking at. Took a live last year where they nearly dropped a bike onto one that was next to the bike they were concerned about and one officer actually nearly knocked down another bike when they went to pull and drag that bike off of main street. yeah kinda hard to call something that has a steering wheel a bike just saying. Well hope to run into you and Mrs. Monkey at the rally at some point which I'm sure I will even if its by accident like at Sturgis last year. See ya at the rally be safe and see ya soon.

I grew up in Volusia County. And no the cops do not want the bikers there. They make it their mission to make sure you have the worst time, So you will not come back. And this has been their stand since the 80s. I don't think it's going to change. Most locals avoided bike week just because they know they are just going to get harassed.

Just like Sturgis, they bring in extra cops from other much smaller towns. These cops don't see much action and this is a time for them to live out their enforcement wet dreams. Your larger city or town cops don't act like this so much.

I will be coming Wednesday and staying Cacklebery Campground this be my second time maybe I will meet you and let you try some North Georgia moonshine lol

Being in Gainesville we used to go every year but your right the weekend warriors who believe just because they own a bike they know how to ride , they get drunk get out in the road act billy badass and cause a scene . The cops your right again , won't go into that but yup . So now I just stay away not worth it ,

Yup go to Daytona to see friends. I agree on the slingshots...o my lord....and yup Daytona brings the crazies lots of times. Been going since 1976. I have seen some awesome things and some WTF things. Seems to be getting worse on the snowflake front. On the cop front there are tons of cops brought in, like Sturgis, but unlike Sturgis they seem to have a big chip on their shoulder.

I don’t think so. I’ll be riding it a lot but it doesn’t stack up to a lot of the bikes at the shows.

The local LE in Sturgis are awesome, they go out of their way to keep you out of their jail. Daytona LE has a huge nationwide reputation which isn’t bad it’s that they are HORRIBLE

I lived just north of Daytona in Palm Coast about 17-18 yrs ago … and that’s when it was already plummeting when I was there….. and it’s only gotten worse …… still 80% of out of towners that all think their personal motorcycle is the best thing on the planet……. …….. and ofc…. Everybody brings their kids ….. and it’s NOT great ….. seeing Titties flying and hearing bikes hit their rev limiters and be like “ok Bobby, let’s just close your ears and eyes and you’ll have a great time”. “Mommy and daddy needs this” type stuff….. Just saying 😂😂😂 i mean that’s what we’re really all doing with this conversation…. 4:18 you’re a great guy man. I think if I could have been around you or the sort of atmosphere of better acting ppl you’re probably around… my time there would have probably been a lot better. Be blessed man. They are harassing…… and there are making serious money off of those ppl out there that are already of the gate thinking that how everyone acts there is actually legal 😂😂😂😂

I go to Daytona as a Veteran and to honor all previous Vets who didnt come home. No matter how many Idiots come down with there Slingshots and other BS i don't give them any attention.

There isn't a damn thing wrong with having a Slingshot, I bet they're a lot of fun, but for the same reason someone would buy any convertible car. I just don't get why they come to motorcycle rallies and try to go down mainstreet.

IMO can-ams and slingshots are an extention of the motorcycle culture...they offer a great option for those who for various reasons should not be on two wheels...case in point my oldest brother and my sister-law...it's apparent that they are here to stay...however I those slingshot with the copious lights and music are annoying and too the big wheel baggers not so much because the big wheel but the obnoxiously loud music...but to each his own...

Same damn thing happened to me going to the cabbage patch it was 4 years ago colder than hell and my goggles fogged up and i pulled them up to wipe the fog out and john law gave me hell over it

The douche bag factor extends throughout Florida in Jan, Feb, Mar, not just in Daytona. About a million people filter through each city per month in winter and not many of them are bikers (except bike week of course). They all think it's about them in their own little magic kingdom on vacation, non of them realize regular people actually live there year around. Daytona can't hold a candle to Strugis as far as real bikers. College spring breakers and real bikers don't really mix well so I understand why the cops are the way they are. A city full of assholes for months at a time and mix in wanna be bikers to the mix in Feb, not necessarly fun for the locals.

That was hilarious! LMAO! “My wife is going to take her bike ,,,, and I’m gonna throw a chain over my back and drag my other bike and wear my RV like a back pack and I’m going to sleep on the dirt” LMAO! Still chuckling 2 hours later. I’ve heard other Content Creators say the PO PO are jerks too. Have a great week at the Rally Monkey and don’t drink 64 of em all at once. LOL!

Sturgis is filled with locals and police which welcome you to spend your cash. Daytona locals treat you as if you crashed their party.

Daytona is the best biker show in the nation. Always full of Billy Big Rigger bikers.

Daytona use to be bad ass 20 years ago or so. Went down hill.. too many sport bikes banging off rev limiters at 10k.. don't mind sport bikes if they are being respectful.. too many trashed 18yo thinking they are evel knievel or some shit

LOL it's been since 98 that i have been out in SD but back then Sturgis had a douche factor too, Sadly some years Laconia can have the Cop issue , and others you barely notice them, last years 100th barely saw any
