Improved Car Handling - Lets players have greater control of their car and feel even closer to all the action.
New Dynamic In-Game Camera - This new feature lets players experience the race with dynamic camera angles making the gameplay feel more natural.
New Graphics and Improved Lighting - These two features combined with the dynamic in-game camera deliver a bright, crisp and modern gameplay.
New Car Models and Damage Modelling - Players can challenge their friends with new cars and witness jaw-dropping crashes and damage to cars.
New Top 3 Race Highlights - This feature brings Daytona’s competitive game sprit to the front by letting players know their race position in relation to their competitors.
New Car Liveries - New liveries make all the cars look fresh attracting existing and new players.
Updated Live Player Camera - This improves the live overtake camera system, letting players show their race face and feel closer to the action!
While once billed as a numbered sequel, Daytona Championship USA is essentially an extension of the original arcade game, with updated graphics and sound and a more modern cabinet design.
Like the original game, there is only a choice of two cars ("manual" and "automatic") and the sole objective is to finish the race in first place.
Daytona Championship USA contains six tracks, three of which are brought forward from the original Daytona USA, and the other three being unique to this game. The selection is slightly misleading, however, as aesthetics aside, the new tracks have the same layout as the old ones (albeit mirrored in some cases), for instance:
Daytona International Speedway, despite the series first appearing with the license on location test in 1993, Daytona Championship USA is the first Daytona USA game to actually include the real-life Daytona International Speedway as a track.
This might have been intentional however, as the fictional Three-Seven Speedway uses the same layout, just with more varied and colourful scenery.
Seaside Street Galaxy, the statue of Jeffry from Virtua Fighter has been replaced with a higher polygon model of Akira.

maybe SEGA will release this as a PS5 Arcade "dayrent" would make sense to finally make some money.
Daytona Championship USA: New Season Edition is a 3D stock car racing game developed by Sega of China in collaboration with Sega Amusements International , published for Sega Pc Based Arcade Hardware in 04 April 2019. it's an upgrade over the original 2017 game that features new cars, better graphics and gameplay. It is linkable up to eight players and has a party tournament mode.
5:30 Three seven speedway with the 2001 ost and the victory lane song from the saturn make me nostalgic and always a classic

Could have been better with the older song, but it’s still alright. (The older song in question being The King of Speed)

They've reused songs from Daytona USA 2001 on Dreamcast. This remake seems to have had a really tight budget, it isn't really that visually impressive unfortunately. But hey, it's Daytona USA, we need this on current consoles and PC (yes, the Switch can run this level of visuals at 60fps) 👍

They took from more than just that game. Hell, unless you've paid very close attention to this series, you probably wouldn't know where the second menu theme is from.

Many thx for this video! I love Daytona since 90s when first appeared, so much nostalgia. I love SEGA but i really don't undertand the decisions of the management...this game is great for consoles, not only for single players like always but is awesome for online and multiplayers. WTF are they waiting for? PS4/4, XBOX, they only have to convert it. No plans for that???

Cracked version runs on PC via Xbox gamepad or Xinput Wheel ;-)

There's no really explaination of why SEGA didn't port this game to console. It's just weird. There must be some problems with the License or the team behind. Maybe the high-ups said "Nah, just Arcade. Nobody is going to like this port Anyway" Idk what it was but i really need this on PS4/PS5 or XBOX.

I work at a arcade; I thought the game was like one of those cheap Burger King games at first, and we still have the first version before this, "new season edition." Maybe if this were to release officially, it would have been like $1... I don't see it being successful at that when better racing games exists. You'd get more money for contracting this out to places, and have it generate revenue. As much as I love it; all the other racing arcade games are way more successful, and can be causally played. You'll see people play Daytona out of mistake, crash, and give up because they don't bother to learn that brakes are important.
This game has got it remade.
I love how Japan’s idea of rap is still the 80-90’s version with scratching and beatboxing. If they started doing “mumble rap” I would cry. 😭
It looks a little strange for the Daytona USA series that the lights are made of just texture and the tires don't protrude a little from the car body.
It's kinda weird to only race three laps and one lap on the Advanced and Expert courses, respectively, as opposed to four and two like in other versions...

It's on quick mode in this video, you can change it to Arcade standard where all courses have their original lap numbers
Me and my brother once went to an arcade with two of these games linked up together, and he somehow caused his machine to bluescreen lmao
Well, I still like the Hornet livery on every player stock car, since I think I will be driving the antagonist's car.
Daytona USA has a remastered arcade version and its upgraded version didn't know this exist

The avatars on the left hand side of the screen are crap. The lines stretching across the screen linking them to cars is just a pointless distraction. Sega Racing Classic is so much better than this.

It's disappointing how they ruined the atmosphere and art direction compared to the original. Dinosaur Canyon in particular is so much worse, they put their C grade team on this project

from this video, my problem is that the music is too loud and drowns out the sound of that sweet sweet engine. ... also no tire smoke from drifting, like in Daytona 2
Re-recording that iconic song and the pointless UI showing drivers and cars at the left and bottom edges of the screen totally ruins this. Will stick to the original Daytona USA and Daytona USA 2 on Sega Model 2 and 3 emulators, instead. Now that they run on the Steam Deck, it's portable arcade gaming bliss.
