Daystate Red Wolf VS. BSA R12 - Test @ 45 Meters!

Спорт

The first comparison video I have done in a long time - who wins? Well, I think it's fairly clear from the groups, but is the RW 1000 pounds better?

Love your videos, I have an R12 pro I must have put 4 or 5 tins of pellets through it. It’s accuracy now is so much better than when I first got as good or maybe slightly better than my FX crown. Love the Daystate but there is so little difference between these modern guns.

There's a thousand variables to discuss here ( as far as the results go ) needless to say the first one that comes to mind is " are the pellets used in each rifle , there optimum for accuracy ? " then you could go on for hours and hours discussing and arguing the toss which is best for ?? For what ?? Accuracy ? Value for money ? ,build quality ? Aftersales assistance ? Best in the field ? Best bench rested , , Blah blah blah ... I have too say , I own both and could go on forever and a day about each .. im not though , but I will say BOTH are great rifles , and dependant on your budget .. you'll be pleased with either ... Ps .. Ive tested virtually all pellets known to man in both rifles , I know which is best in each of them , others may be different .. basically I'm not gonna squeeze the lions balls through the bars .. the cage door may be open , ( keeping it to myself as not to seem bias and annoy anyone ) ... so buy either you wont be disappointed ..

Redwolf is nearly £1000 more than the R12. Plus your Redwolf is properly run in whereas the R12 is basically still brand new. So taking those factors into account I would take the R12 over the Redwolf.

@@adriangodley Hello Sir. From your answer and explanation, you know what you are talking about, and great respect. I suspected the Daystate would be costing a fair bit more money. In Andys Airgun Reviews, on Utube, Andy explains that the R12 performs better, produces better groupings than guns twice its price. With great respect to this gentleman from Crackshots, who very kindly reviewed both rifles, it's arguable which is best. Daystate are a phenomenal air rifle, no question about that. Though they are nearly twice the price of the R12. Those groupings in my humble opinion, didn't warrant twice the price of the other air rifle. To the working man/woman, I'd expect they'd find the BSA R12 more appealing. I'd expect the Daystate to appeal to someone with more money to spend, who has to have, arguably the best, in their eyes. They are both fantastic air rifles, I'd humbly say, with different appeal.

Not a true reflection on either guns true capabilities, unless the QYS pellets are the most accurate in each rifle which I doubt. A true test would be to source the most accurate pellet for each gun and then do a comparison.

You ask, is the RW 1000 pounds better? of course as far as price is concerned gains per pound diminish exponentially the more you spend, to some people £1K is mere pocket money and easily disposable, in the way that the wealthy will pay ludicrous amounts for perceived exclusivity. So is it worth £1K more, to some of course it is, to others no, for me the opportunity to buy a pre owned RW for not a lot more than the cost of an R12 was an opportunity not to be missed, fortunately, like you it fits me well, and unlike some I love the feel of the trigger...thankfully we are all different

Some folk, come what may, just have to have the best kit, top clubs, bag etc, in their eyes. However, it's just personal choice, affordability, at the end of the day. We are lucky to be able to have the choice. Best wishes.

Ugh flyers, why and how can you counter them, it is annoying and always gets me to second guessing my scope settings and end re-checking distance topping off the air regardless makes no difference, now admittedly the gun is very new to me part exed my Kral Marine 177 for this one and although I much prefer it, it is still too long on the barrel so not a true Bullpup I love it for a budget PCP 22 upping the calibre was a good move as I have been at a local boatyard ratting and these are big compared to what I am used to shooting as they are average sized in the battery hen barn. So next will be a very small in overall length Bullpup, I bought this one I have now more with my heart than my head so a big thumbs up to KRAL ARMS Puncher Knight, with Optisan scope, thank you to the lads at Crackshot Newton Abbot for hooking me up and their patience while spending my ill-gotten gains, as I have two hobbies that are not cheap so one has to sustain itself and my other hobby is a no returns ever financially so my PCP helps offset the Radio Control hobby named bottomless pit racing.

The groups for both dont look any better than id expect from an rm8, not quite as good as a tx200. Both are 4 times cheaper than a daystate, and half as much as the bsa. Having said that i still enjoy my r10 more than the rm8, even though it gets more stoppages, and its no more accurate. It just feels better in the hand. well the daystate is twice the money as the bsa and lets be honest there wasnt nothing in it, just a case of you shooting better with a gun you have owned for 2 years and hence more familier with. you effectively paid for two R12,s just to get the same standards that shot no better than well an R12, i personally think the R12 is much better looking than your redwolf too. but that is purely subjective personal taste. im not being totally biased though i have shot and owned several daystates.
