I have an R12 in 177 and clx in 22 I have not had any issues to date but since watching this one of my 177 mag is much tighter than the other. This has been so useful and thank you for the time to share this with us.....

On my Ultra clx i used a dremmel to cut the O ring seat a tad deeper, i also didn’t tighten the spring quite so far, that mag is now perfect smooth as silk. Second replacement mag without the alterations is rough loading and feels terrible. Looks like the dremmel is coming out again.

No problems with my R12 PRO in .177. Mags hold pellets firmly with no rattle when shaken hard. My R10SE in .177, again never had issues with gun or mags. Brilliant rifles in my opinion.

Great video. I have the same problem with my clx ultra also in 177. It jammed and i sent it back to bsa, they had it for 6 weeks. They cleared the jammed pellets and sent it back with the same magazine!

one thing i noticed after you had loaded the mag, the first pellet you put in fell out but when the mag is full they wount fall out because the hole in the outer case does not line up with the inner hole that the pellet fits into , so i would move the inner wheel back a shade to line up with the outer hole, then try and see if they fall out, i done this with mine and all 12 fell out

It could be that BSA's magazine supplier is using multiple sub-makers, or BSA, are using multiple suppliers. Maybe because of all the lingering supply problems caused by covid. And some are more accurately toleranced than others. I've had similar problems with sub-makers, and it would explain that some people and not others are having trouble.

I had exactly the same problem with accuracy . It’s because some of the mags don’t fully align the pellets properly when cocking and just slightly clips the pellet skirt , causing poor accuracy . On one of my mags , it was always the first shot that was a flyer .

the grove the O-ring sits in wasnt cut deep enough to hold the pellet , the later version were

I think the groove where the o ring sits needs to to be deeper

So they came from “user error” on a lit of peoples complaints to “okay it’s actually on us”.

it cos when the mags are full all the pellets push on the oring and stretch it out more than when half full or less

so does that mean it's not user error like the Air gun centre told you🙄🙄 glad you got it sorted in the end

I have owned bsa guns got rid of all because none of the magazines work properly dont line up with the barrel unless you send them to be blueprinted more money i have gone the single shot way far more accurate !
