This song makes me think of my fake friends, and how when I was younger I was naive and made fake friends and my dad would help me through it and now that I’m older I thought I made true friends but they turned out to be fake too right now I have no friends and I cried myself to sleep I just want a hug and someone to tell me everything’s gonna be ok and how when the lyrics said “not until my whole life is done will I ever leave you” it makes me sad because I’m always there for other people but nobody’s there for me it makes me think about how I will never leave them I’ll be loyal to the death but they will never do the same

I love this song. I feel like if it were sung from the perspective of one person, it would be like their "days in the sun" were when their most beloved person was in their life, and when that person left, they went "out of the reach of my arms". And so all they can do is hope that one day they might find that same strong, beautiful, and enduring love again.

This is a song I hold dear to my heart because I have always delt with depression and anxiety and this song was like a getaway for me when my anxiety was at its peak a couple years ago

I watch this movie in my homemade Goro costume and I still cry to Emma Watson's solo of Days in the Sun. I dress all buff n' brutal on the outside but I still get moved and heartfelt on the inside.
