For any reason your beans stay too long to cook you can soak them overnight then cook them the next day. It will take less time to cook.I do so with my red kidney beans,pigeon peas and sometimes my black eye beans.The lentils I just wash and cook the same day. Try not to wash at nights to leave you clothing outside always try and wash very early as to pick them up before going to bed. Congrats to you and your classmates.
