Hey Amy! Fellow canadian mama here. Sorry thst Kylo had an ear infection , my daughter had one and it was the worst illness we went through. I am glad you caught it early and identified the signs and hopefully his ear didnt swell. Its so hard when they are sick, i hope he is feeling better. We just had our 18 month appointment and the doctor asked if she can string two words together and i had to think about that. Lol i mean if "mama dada" counts haha but yes dont let the standard milestones get you down. Every child develops at their own time. But you had me make my own list. My daughter is 19 months (18 months corrected) and she says 21 words if i remembered them all but good idea to write them down lol We

Amy, love to see the sweet moments with Kylo and how engaged he is. What is it about kids and the word No?!? 🤔🙃 He's adorable. The soup you made looks delicious. This is homemade stew and soup season in my home. The comfort gives me all the vibes but like you, I had to shift my focus back to my calorie deficit to achieve my goal. I'm giving myself smaller monthly weight goals for the next 3-4 months but hoping to lose 10-15 by Jan 1. 🤞🏼 Loving our wellness circle as you know. We got this! Sorry to hear Kylo ended up with a bad ear infection. I hope the worst of it is behind him 🙏🏼🫶🏽

I have worked in daycare with one year olds for a long time, and I agree that 20 is alot of words. I would have parents who would be really concerned because their doctors would say their child was delayed. I always told them that all of the kids in the class were saying about the same amount of words, and no where near 20! Im obviously not a doctor, but just from working with one year olds for years, id say in my opinion Kylo is doing just fine!

Thanks so much 🫶🏼 My doctor did mention that the words don’t need to be clear, just with intention. But I do still agree it’s excessive haha. I feel 5-10 for that age seems more reasonable.

AMY! I have a 4 and 2 year old and let me tell u we went thru so many ear infections and antibiotics. Until i found EAR CLEAR OIL at whole foods! omg game changer it is natural oil that heals the infection in literally less than a day!! 10/10 amazing so much better than tearing up their gut with antibiotics

@@AmyMacedoVlogs I just checked and it’s actually SPROUTS kids. Found in there like medicinal section. I’m sure if they don’t have that in CA there is one out there w similar ingredients

I am also working on my deficit, incredible to do it at this time of year but we can do this!

Do you limit screentime with kylo? How much do you allow and what activities do you do throughout the day to keep him busy!? I have a 16 month old and I'm trying to limit how much TV he watches or atleast just try to do more activities. Any suggestions?

We do limit it. Most days we do without it completely but there’s definitely days where I use it and he watches for about an hour. I do sensory bins in his activity table (I share this in this vlog here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oYF2u7mwdK-vm5s.html , he does chores with me/follows me around while I do chores, go for walks & go to the park (even in the winter we just bundle up), etc.

Girl I think you need a cooking channel as well
