Random thing my mum always did was put a huge variety on my plate even tho I didn’t seem to ‘like’ certain food she would repeatedly keep putting them there. Sprouts for example I was kinda scared but they were always there on my plate as a kid grew up loving them from constant exposure. Apparently takes being exposed to something at least 12 times to come to a decision.

Yes I do that as well with Kylo! 🙌🏼 I’ve been doing that since he was 6 months old. Maybe that’s why he isn’t a picky eater?

I really agree with what you said about “making certain foods special” and leading to eating disorders. I’m practicing the same with my littles! I’d love to see more videos of you talking about parenting for a healthy relationship with food and body image ❤

I agree with you on your point about not worrying about having to teach our babies to use utensils at such a young age! They definitely notice what is happening around them and will see adults using utensils and want to mimic that eventually! On that note, and as a mom of a toddler myself, i would stress that teaching them to use an open cup or even sippy cup for milk/water/any liquid is important at a young age to not only improve oral skills and vocabulary (by using the muscles in the mouth in different ways) but bottles for milk while teeth are coming in can also be detrimental to increased risk of tooth decay, and formation of teeth as they grow. Not sure if that’s something you’ve already been working on! It was advice that passed on to me from another first time mom and it doesn’t go unnoticed! Enjoy the toddler stage! It’s my fave!

Totally agree! About the bottle, he drinks water out of an open cup/straw cup really well but won't do it for milk so we're working on it!

I gasped when he knocked over the drink hahahah... and for the command strips apparently if you apply heat, like a blow dryer. it comes off easily!

It is also important to educate the baby according to the time of growing up. You can start practicing at that time and make the right posture or habits. There is a time when small muscles and large muscles take place, and if you miss the right time, your development may be slow.

The 18 month appointment for my daughter at sick kids hospital was a full on exam. But it was so encouraging it made me feel proud my daughter impressed the heck out of me. They sat her in a chair at the table for a good hour and just handed her objects to see how she interacted and identified them ..I didnt pressure her to learn to use utensils but she naturally wanted to at such a young age..at 5 months she was grabbing the spoon to feed herself and I just let her regardless of how messy she got..i obviously helped guide her and just encouraged it and she just took off and feeds herself so well ever since like she gets mad if I help her but she doesn't need help she holds her spoon and fork so well. I am nervous about taking her lovey away , I think cold turkey is the way too go. It's her pacifier honestly. Good for you for taking it away!

Girl that bread looks so yummy I bet the house smelt so good!!! Kylo is getting so big he is so cute!!! I personally started giving my son Utensils at 6 months I would just put it next to him never pushed to use it by by 1 year old he was steady easily with a fork and by 1 and half feeding himself yogurt and soup he always had allot of interest in it and would cry when u didn't give him one lol 😅 they eventually all learn one way Or another I wouldn't stress you know your baby best! You're looking great btw keep up the hard work I know loosing that post baby weight is hard I still have a long way to go 😅

I didn’t fuss about teaching how to use utensils but I always provided them and he would see me using them so by 1 he knew how to use a spoon and then he learned how to use a fork. He’s now 2 1/2 and he knows how to use them but prefers his hands lol I still always provide them.
