I honestly think exactly the same. He did die at the gas station, hence only having one pair of footprints at the beach (it matches her boots shown in the intro). Either she couldn't let him go and imagined this with him at the beach or it's the guy's dream of holding onto her. Either way, they are still "together" haha this song made me cry TT HAHA AND YES YOU DO KNOW YOUR SHARE OF DAY6 MVS!!!

i feel like the "flatline" sound during the gas station scene is an indication that the boy really died. this song made me cry too :( day6 does that to us and im not even complaining lol

I’m convinced it’s emotional hurt rather than beach in heaven it’s the only possible happy ending

honestly i believe the girl is myday and the boy is day6 and how they are hurt and in pain but mydays always have their back and in the end they become ok!... its a metaphor for how the lyrics go "you make me keep going"

This entire album is a vocal exhibition. Also Dowoon * slow clap *. Yeah the theory is that he really died at the gas station. And in line with the lyrics, the girl kinda had to move on with just their love and memories. The saturation when he came back to consciousness in the car changed. So definitely if you're not convinced it's not a dream.... Same.

I think the theory I've seen that I hate is the guy dies at the gas station, the woman cannot bear losing him so she takes her like (the boot prints into the ocean) and then the scene of him waking up at the gas station is them reuniting and being together again. I have no clue though. That makes me really sad if that is the right theory lol the song though - holy moly so good!

Yep this one is the darkest theory so far, the other theory is that the girl didn't actually die--her footsteps in the beach was her going to release his ashes to the sea (this is a practice in korea; depends on the family). So the guy create his own paradise with her because she's the only person he can lean on (this also fits in the lyrics) But the most simple & brightest one i heard so far is that the guy's wound is actually a metaphor for Day6 themselves. They're hurting for a while (hiatus), but later they healed up and safe (there's a few reactor also mentioning this theory on the spot) while the girl is the meaningful people they had--their family, friends & mydays

I read a similar theory, but with the girl being already dead, and then the guy here joining her. They said that's probably why she's hugging him after he "wakes up" next to her, the scolding part is because she wanted him to live longer ofc but then she's really happy he joined her after all :'( it's so sad TT

The lyrics can be interpreted as them singing to MyDay. Because of all the hurt they were hiding, MyDay had no idea and when they found out wanted to console them and felt almost helpless like we couldn't do anything for them. And they are telling us with our love and our support they endure despite how hard life may be sometimes.

There’re theory of actually the girl already die and she actually went to him (while he’s in blood) to take him to the heaven. So the boys died at petrol station, and the footsteps is that girl footsteps so I guess that boys finally follow that girl footsteps to the heaven and they are happily ever after. The line of ‘this world can run on even without me’ kinda sus and I really think this theory is correct.

Watching it for the first time, I also didn't think it was real. I feel like he died at the gas station and she walked out to the ocean alone, but who knows. Either way, this song just felt appropriate given the current status of the group (and fans). Upbeat but sad songs are just something Day6 does so well.

After the flash of footsteps at the beach the tone of the video changes. It becomes warmer like the sun. Something is different for sure.

It’s here!! Yesterday, I was tricked! I got a notification from Day6 and thought it was the mv but it was the behind the scene for the MV (still enjoyed it). I remember reading a comment that said that the guy died and dreamed of being with the girl after he woke up. Yes they were flexing on vocals! I love this album and all of the songs and hope that you’ll do a listen party on it. Healer is one of my favorite on the album. 💕

Remember also on the Even of Day, Where the Sea Sleeps? The sea represents Chaos as well but soon ther were able to get out of the sea to land, and now Day6 is complete in land, now the girl's footprints goes back to the sea after the guy seem to... die. I am just confused why instead of straightaway waking in the afterlife, which was the beach and eternal sunset, the guy wakes up on the gas station still and seems that the guy's wound has been patched/bandaged (probably by the girl). If they really both passed to afterlife, albeit through different manners and/or time, it should have started on the part where the are near the beach. Btw, if i am right that the beach was the afterlife, then Day6 has been in the eternal realm, traveling frm chaos to order, entropy to negentropy.

After watching it a few times, my theory is more symbolic...the man is going through difficult times, he keeps it to himself rather than being open to the woman. By the time she finds out it's too late and he is overwhelmed/deals with a really difficult time rather than seeking initial help. This is why once he "dies and comes back" she is relieved and hits him like "why didn't you tell me to lessen your burdens?" then after finally being open with her their life is better together.

I 100% believe he died at the gas station and the rest is like... what he's picturing before he dies. Like a happy ending with her. OR its a favourite memory of his that he remembers before dying. But if you noticed when he like passes out(?) and you see the beach, there's only one set of foot prints and its from the boots she wore. And then at the end when shes smiling up at him he's looking at the sky/water and then he closes his eyes. The dim colours symbolizing his life leaving him but the bright colours saying he's at peace knowing he's going out happy and loved i guess. I've been thinking about this since it came out

Yeah, definitely not a happy ending ): I also think the guy died at the gas station. In the scene afterwards, we can see the girls footprints going into the sea and not out, so I'm assuming she may have drowned herself after losing the person she loves most. The lighting in the car scene at the gas station is brighter after he seemingly did not actually die, implying their afterlife together. Hence, "every ending is a new beginning".

Sungjin mentioned this in his last vlive so, its not news that they arent promoting. its just jype making an official statement. Its def unfortunate tho but makes sense they are a band so its not as easy to rearrange instruments and vocals.
