Here are the steps we are taking everyday, including in these videos: 😷Masks and face coverings. We wear these anytime we are near others outside and especially indoors. If we don’t have a mask on in a video, it’s 99% because there was no one around. ⏰ Exploring early. We normally start at sunrise anyway because of less crowds, but especially so with COVID. We have been starting our days before sunlight so we can limit our interactions. 🧼 Washing and sanitizing our hands, especially after touching anything outside of the van. 🚐 Being in the van 95% of the time when we’re not filming. The adventures we share are a small sliver of our lives. We are staying in the van all day everyday when working and the only time we leave is to do laundry, get gas, or go to the store. 6️⃣ Keeping our distance. We are trying to stay at least 6 ft from others, which truthfully isn’t always possible (and then we make sure we cover our face).

Don’t forget getting Chislic at any locally owned restaurant in the area. Blarney Stone and Barrel House are truly my favorites

They light the Falls up at Christmas I make sure and drive through like five times a year. You can tune your radio to the right station and the music is synced to the lights! It is amazing!!

When I was in the Army and told people I was from South Dakota... They assumed I was some farm hick from the middle of no-where, and there was nothing in SD but cornfields and dirt roads... But its with the help of people like you and the internet, that the misinformation about this great state I grew up in, and eventually (after almost 30 years in the military and working for the government) came back to, and again call my home... There is a lot more to SD that you didn't get to... but I can't fault you for not being here during Pheasant Season... Or missing our (Kinda brutal) winters... But hey... -40 degrees keeps the riff-raff out!!! I enjoyed your views of my home... Safe travels!!

South Dakota is so beautiful and full of so many things to do and we’re so happy to share it! We are not sad we missed winter though lol! We’re a bunch of wimps from Texas 😜

Hey that’s my state! Fun fact: the Lewis store on the corner of Phillips downtown used to be a really cool store when the place fell down and they had to rebuild it. One person died in the process but when that happened there was a story of a dog that saved there owner when it went down!

We really really loved the state! Sooo many gems and we had no idea for most of our lives!

I'm grew up in Sioux Falls and now live in OKC. My great great grandfather was the architect who designed the old courthouse, state penitentiary, and many other buildings. Thank you for bringing me a piece of home :)

Sioux Falls is the hidden gem of the Midwest. My company (Dakota Tech inc.) stays very busy helping people & businesses troubleshoot technology issues here. Sioux Falls is rated #1 in the nation to set up both a business or trust. The city has massive potential for growth in the next few decades. We have 2 massive hospitals headquartered here as well as an Amazon city. Exciting stuff!

During the winter they have lights that light up the water falls in the park, with all the snow and Christmas decorations they put up it looks amazing and really brings you into the holidays spirit. I love going every year to see the lights.

What a great series and makes me excited to visit South Dakota one these days. The company I work for used to have a location in Sioux Falls and I am disappointed that I never got to travel there. Can't wait to see where both of you go next! Also, it is always great when Kona gets some airtime.

Hi guys I actually live in Sioux Falls it’s great to see you came !! Also falls park the falls are higher during certain points in the year that was at somewhat of a low point ! The falls also decorate for the holidays too !

As someone who has lived here my entire life, 17 years, I've realized I actually didnt even know a lot about this place and some of the great food offered downtown. I always just felt this place was really some boring place that no one really cared about besides the falls. But thank you, for actually teaching me more about my hometown and making me feel more excited to live here 💖 I hope ya'll come visit again someday!

That is so awesome to hear! We are glad that planning has only made exploring better! We know spontaneity is fun too, but sometimes you miss out on something cool if you didn’t plan a little ahead 😃

Dang it's awesome seeing my city on a video like this. I always assumed we never get any tourists but I love the town. It's an outstanding place to raise and a family and the people in Sioux Falls are some of the best around. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

We’ve loved exploring the plains states and proving people wrong about them. There is so much to offer! We were so happy and lucky to work with the state tourism board! Those are our ideal partnerships and we’re always pumped when those come together!

I love that you made it to Falls Park. Glad you mentioned Shoshone Falls (sp?) as I’ve never been to that.
