During the day I go to the local restaurant called the Gelataria near my AirBnb. Later that night we take a trip downtown to the small nightlife section of town.

Some of the nicest people I’ve met in my travels from Toliara and the girls are so sincere and kind. Same with Antalaha in the Sava region. Very welcoming and have great attitudes

Hi Paul Great series on Madagascar. Your travels to Diani, Kenya inspired me to visit there. I just returned from a 5 month stay there. What really surprised me is how well developed the roads are in Tulear, compared to Diani. Paved roads in Diani are rare. It’s especially nice in Tulear without the noisy Tuk Tuk’s. Safe travels

yes its nice to travel around town here. No noisy motos or tuktuks, no horns beeping, etc.. I haven't even seen any traffic lights here and its a medium sized city

I've been there 2007 for the construction of jety QMM with Heron jackup...every 2 week went to town of Tolagnaro to have off day with all crew...good beach and people

Hi, no I haven't. Next trip I will see some other areas. I haven't spent a lot of time on road trips so I can't comment on that.

The Tulear airport is very small, I don't recall seeing souvenir shop or cafe there but I may be mistaken.

I had to go to hospital for an eye infection. The eye doctor did a good job, gave me some eye drops. The cost was super low, only $4 for the consoltation and another $4 for the eye drops

I don't think Madagascar is the land of fat people.
Elle est belle cette musique d'accompagnement, mais il y a du bluff car à Tuléar, on n'écoute pas du country, si au moins tu as mis du tsapiky on te croira. Tuléar tsimiroro n'est pas bon, il faut dormir la nuit pour pouvoir travailler le jour. C'est par le travail que l'on vaincra la misère. Encore une bourde. Change de disque, donner envie aux gens l'utilité de travailler et le goût des efforts pour mieux vivre et non le contraire.

@@pddembowski j'aime Tuléar les gens sont en général sympa ,mais je ne suis pas allé depuis 6 ans ,avec le COVID le niveau social gens ont sûrement chuté déjà a l'époque il y avait beaucoup de pauvreté ,
