Running into an ice cream truck on your route on a hot day feels like winning the lottery 😂 I'm a FedEx driver and a couple years ago I ran into one that was doing buy 1 get 1 free because it was the end of the season. Made my day much better! The Rivian truck seems really nice. We're supposed to be getting some electric trucks soon at my station but who knows how long that will take.

This is pretty cool to see the other departments that work alongside amazon like ABM and DSP. As of currently I work in the warehouse. (im probably forgetting more and no, you cant record inside the facility)

Biggest difference between US and where i live is the hour you starting to work at , we are usually at the depo by 5 am, on the road around 8 am and done with delivering around 2-4 pm

Great video Man!! So here In Connecticut there is now wayyyy I have time to get a drink like you did or ice cream I wish!!! You should see how many totes and overflow we have to jam in those vans and not the electrical ones either!! And this isn’t peak season either lol. Tomorrow I’m starting the electrical thank GOD! I hope it helps with ending the day earlier!!!

My DSP gives us Zebras and we always use the laser scanner to scan packages, carts, and totes. but for some reason, for in garage deliveries, it uses the camera to scan the packages

My DSP I’m averaging like 170-180 stops a day country routes at that out here in Oklahoma sometimes 190 it seems like peak never ended

The Netradyne camera doesn't record unless you cause a event, and then it records for a set period of time after. It doesn't record audio either. It's always on but isn't recording 24/7

I was a part of the team that launched that AI camera for driver safety. One challenging aspect of working on that project was getting the DSP to buy in because they worried about the driver's privacy.

Amazon really does need to track you for us customers to track where I packages are by how many stops there are before their packages are delivered. You're right about the app that you use. Even in Florida a package for one house across the street from me I don't come after it will have the driver deliver 5 stops around multiple blocks again and then drive back on my street. It's ridiculous and stupid but then Amazon claims it wants to be a sustainability company. It will waste fuel drivers going down the same street twice instead of once.

I wish I have an EV. I worked courier driving a 2002 Camry, spend like $7K on gas last year.

I think this AI Camera is the best thing. They cant rush you to do more stops, forcing you to speeding etc. It keeps your work time balanced. Btw. Great videos, great car (private and Rivian 😊). Greetings from Poland.

It does have its drawbacks though. So many crazy drivers always pass me up and cut me off. It does promote being an extra cautious driver. But getting a hard braking or following too close infraction just because someone else cut you off aggressively

3:53 - I'll explain the reason for this since I've driven for Amazon in the past. Newer drivers don't get to pick a specific van they'd like to drive on a daily basis, often times that's set aside for veteran drivers. If this isn't the case for his DSP, drivers nonetheless are assigned what van they'll use for their specific route, no one can choose their own van.
