The fanblades are numbered because they are balanced individually when installed and always have to be put back in the same sequence for example, if some of them have to be taken out for a maintenance issue inspection, etc. they need to go back in that order. otherwise pilot Pete may not be going golfing he might be diverting.🤪🤪🤪 putting them back in the right spot is nonnegotiable..

From KMEM, worked the hub before, use to work for a smaller airline, no longer around in KMEM, as a dispatcher. Grew up watching the old B727s, A310/300s, DC-10s and MD-11s coming over my house for 27 in the 90s on the evening mid night arrivals. This is my first videos of yours to watch, really liked it and even though you went to other places than just KMEM it brings me to some nostalgia.

Memphis huh man, I'm a FedEx courier and spent a lot of my employment out there, I have some close friends out there. Glad to finally come across a FedEx pilot who is doing the KZread thing. I always wondered what those sleep rooms looked like lol. Short sweet and straight to the point is how I'd describe that small space. I wish I could have met you out there man. Hopefully someday we'll cross paths. I love the 767, loved loading them too.

Fun Fact: @ 1:32 you can see that the LCD screens have a border that is not the same color as the rest of the cockpit. It's because these screens were originally designed for the 787, which has a charcoal-themed cockpit. FedEx worked with L2 Aviation and Rockwell Collins to develop the LDS (Large Display Screen) system for their fleet of airplanes being bought from Boeing in 2013. This system was installed on each A/C AFTER being delivered to FedEx until Boeing could work the modification into it's assembly line in 2016. The original concept called for four screens just like the 787, but it was cost prohibitive to relocate the gear handle.

I think they were numbered because the fan blades were removed at some point. Maybe one was changed out. Blades are weighted when manuactured so the blade has its given place in the rotor. This is done to reduce shaking. Much like you balance a car tire. They number them up to put them back in the correct order.

Perfection for long periods, along with excelerated demands might be catastrophic. Really really impressed. Slow down your life is going way fast. Be well, be safe and turn off for a breath. Relax and enjoy. Onward 🌈 🌈
