@@PoulGo that’d be awesome man cause you’ve literally documented the beginning from when you were just a plane vlogger to pilot school and now a commercial pilot. Would be very motivating for the younger kids to see. And I can live vicariously through you. 😀
Time does really fly hahaha, I remember watching pinoy travel ep 1 and just further inspired me into having a career in aviation. Graduated in 2020 at SAIT with the Aircraft Structural Technician program but couldn’t get a job because of covid. Two years later I decided to continue my career in aviation by joining a flight school here in Calgary. Thank you Kuya Poul for being an inspiration to many young aviators out there! Congratulations on being a dad and your career, cheers!😄

Thank you! Little over a year now as an airline pilot. But I was an air ambulance pilot after I instructed.
Can you share you previous life as a medavac pilot and how many hours were you a an instructor before moving on
Why do you block certain things out on the flight deck. Looks like you block the rego of the aircraft, why?
What type of plane Is this?

How does the schedule work? So you've worked 4 days so is it going to be 4 days off before you start flying again?
@PoulGo
Ай бұрын
Great question. It really depends. If you are a block holder, you bid for the flying you want and you need to meet a certain amount of credits per month. I personally bid reserve. I typically bid for days off. And as reserve you may or may not get called in on your reserve day, which extends your day off. Your schedule for the month is built beforehand. I typically get 2 to 3 days off before being back on reserve again for another 4-6 days, waiting for a call. Ive had it before wherein they never called me. So I had 2 weeks off from flying.
Love the video, I’m a pilot doing 702 operations and I’m about to reach 600 hours. Are the chances on my side to be hired for a 705 company?

Absolutely. Now's a good time! See you in the airlines soon!

Hi Paul, ask ko lang…. What happen to BCIT after you graduate as AME? Tama ba? Then hnd mo na tinuloy? Para maging Aircraft Maintenance Engineer? Then diretso ka na study mag PILOT? Any advice pls. My son wants to be a Pilot… mag-aral ba siya muna Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or diretso na sa PILOTO? And best school dito sa Canada? Salamat…
@PoulGo
Ай бұрын
Hello po yes I graduated at BCIT. Then worked a little bit as a stores person sa flight school. I never got to work as an AME itself and open my logbook. Pero while doing that po I was training part time for my pilot licenses. You dont have to do it the way I did po. Especially nowadays the demand is really high for pilots.

Quick question how’s the balance with work and life and how does your wife cope with it ?
@PoulGo

There's ways around it. As a senior FO at my base and company, I purposely bid reserve so I can get the days off I want and choose the flying that I want when they call me in. On average I only have 5 overnights a month.
