Here's a snippet of my 12 hour day in 18 seconds!
4:30am wake up & get ready
5:00am leave my house
5:15am arrive at hospital & chart check patients, prepare patient list for team (done by interns and medical students)
6am round with whole team (upper level residents, lower level residents, and med students)
6:30-7am write notes, do floor work (usually consists of making calls to other specialties)
7am-2pm (variable) assist in surgeries
2-5pm (variable) go to clinic and see patients, if done with surgeries. If the team is on call, go see consults with resident.
