Day in the Life of a Japanese Street Fighter 6 Game Planner

A Day in the Life of a Japanese Capcom Game Planner working on Street Fighter Six in Osaka Japan. This is everyday Japanese work culture and work hours for a Game Developer at Capcom, one of the top video game companies in all of Japan. Founded in 1979, Capcom has been a pioneer in the game industry for over 40 years, now with about 2900 employees all working together to develop iconic multi-million selling title franchises like Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and one of my childhood games, Street Fighter. Tsuyoshi himself has working on the latest version, Street Fighter 6, for the last 5 years, as a Game Planner. Japan is interestingly unique in Game development as the job title Game Designer is rare. Instead, the job title of Game Planner really only exists though the roles are more or less the same. Most likely because in Japan, the “Designer” title is thought of as a person who focuses more on visual aesthetics like drawings or graphics, while a “Planner” is involved in the entire creation process. Today we will follow the Game Planner from morning until evening to show what he does from when he wakes up, what he does at work and what he does when he finishes work. This is his working hours in Japan along with all the tasks he is responsible for in his job.

Port-forward the right ports, try again, if that doesn't work; Factory reset your router and try again (Forward the ports as well). If it still persists, contact your ISP and check if it might an issue on their side. Could also be a chance your cable is broken internally making the connection bug out every now and then.

Its all about upbringing and good moral parenting which makes or breaks a society. Japan teaches their children to be respectful, polite, and follow the rules which in turn make their society good and country better in general. As for india or any other countries these are generally neglected most of the time when the children growing up and as a result you have disrespectful, loud and hooligans running around which makes the whole country terrible. Loved this one - Street Fighter has been a part of my childhood - while I don't game much these days, seeing this brought back good memories of playing StreetFighter II !! No wonder this one took a few years to get organised - I imagine Capcom wont just open their doors to just anyone, so it shows how widely your name and excellent content is growing :)

@@parfaitcell3067 So I went and check for any date, 3:09 when he's checking the email what looks like 2023, 01 (January), 19 (?) shows up, so it'd seemed this was filmed at the start of the year. Edit/PS: I feel bad for pointing it out tho, in every other scene they either blurred or used paper to block the date from the screen UI so it didn't show up, but as with games there's always bugs you miss so as a gamer I'm also responsible for mentioning it.

Great video: as a fan of fighting games, learning how other people live, and audio recording, I enjoyed. I believe the wooden slats on the wall in the foley studio are, in fact, sound diffusers, so their purpose isn't necessarily to make sound, but to treat the room. This game planner shreds!

The timing of this video's release is impeccable! Great job working with Capcom (I'm sure it wasn't easy, but your patience and persistence paid off) to get some insight into how they operate, and specifically showcase aspects of SF6, which looks to be a very strong revitalization of the franchise! It goes to show how much they work, collaborate, and use everything possible to create the game content we see on our consoles. We only get a glimpse of one day but these projects take years to complete, with a lot of repetition and rework to finalize the product for us gamers. Thanks again Paolo for doing this series, and to the Capcom team for allowing him to showcase your latest game!

Paolo you have excelled with this one. Great break down of Tsuyoshi 's typical day and I have to say the staff at Capcom working on this game are surprisingly young! They still understand the legacy of Street Fighter II and onwards and have done very very well with this new game, it has an outstanding buzz. As per usual everything is captured perfectly with Paolo's breezy upbeat style. 10/10, well done
