day in the life of a high school substitute teacher
Here's what a typical day of substitute teaching is like for me. In this vlog, it's Friday and I'm subbing for a high school history class at an early college high school.
I was a substitute teacher from April 2019- March 2020 (when schools closed because of the virus). I subbed for grades 5-12 for all subjects, general and special education.

This video is so helpful, I am subbing for a 7/8th social studies class starting tomorrow for this whole week. This is my first time subbing, I am so nervous. I not only have to give instructions but also teach material. Your video helped calm my nerves lol

Ah so that’s what my teachers have been doing before and after classes... I have another level of respect for what you all do....... thank you sweetheart you’re a doll! Wish I could go back and thank the ones I gave a hard time and give them formal apologies. The things we don’t see them do......

I’m a substitute teacher too. I love my job.

Charrita Tucker hi! I get told I’m young all the time and one time the janitor yelled at me to get to class LOL. Honestly the students are really good but I just wear 2 inch boots to add to my height it’s ok so far!
