  This amount of faith is pure! I’m a parent of an autistic child and newly coming into teaching for Special education. I need this mindset going in.. even though you are transitioning out. Still needed these words. Blessed you will be on your new journey!

  I don’t agree that the behavior is not the student. I think that is a cop out and gives students an excuse to act out just because they are going through something. Think about people who commit crimes. Are their behaviors not a reflection of the person? Oh so and so had a rough childhood therefore he vandalizes, steals, commits fraud. We have a choice to make and we choose right or wrong. These kids that curses at the teachers, don’t do work, and destroys property know what they are doing. Even kindergarteners know when they are being bad but some won’t care because parents don’t care.

  I love Mexico City, but that is a bloody hard marathon to start with. It is much more difficult to run at that altitude than sea level.

  I was a mental health counselor for four years and the amount of teachers I had on my couch was insane, their stories more so. They were some of my strongest clients. They went through the same guilt you did for wanting to quit. Some of them did and were a lot happier, but many of them remained because their passion for it was so strong

  We always refill our water bottles at the taps that are everywhere in Italy. The locals bring big containers and fill them in the streets! I've done backpack only in Italy but I'm 68 and I started finding it too heavy so I switched back to a small 2 wheel roller last year for Portugal. I was very glad, we had to wait a long time in lines at airports and my husband (much stronger than me!) was wishing he had a roller. Since the planes aisles are incredibly narrow these days I'm switching to a small spinner for this year's trip to Europe.
