Day In The Life Of A Heart Valve Surgeon: Dr. Allan Stewart

www.Heart-Valve-Surgery.com - Go inside the life and operating room of Dr. Allan Stewart, a leading cardiac surgeon at Mercy Heart Institute in Miami, Florida, as he performs a mitral valve repair and a minimally-invasive aortic valve replacement procedure in this special video.
Allan Stewart, MD, has dedicated his career to the safe and minimally-invasive treatment of heart valve diseases (aortic stenosis and mitral regurgitation) and aortic aneurysms (dissections and ruptures). Dr. Stewart has performed over 5,000 cardiac procedures with more than 2,000 operations involving heart valve repair and/or heart valve replacement treatments. Dr. Stewart was one of the first cardiac surgeons to implant the new, non-invasive transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) devices.
Prior to becoming the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Mercy Heart Institute, Dr. Stewart held leadership roles at Columbia University Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York.
This "Day In The Life" video provides patients, their families and friends special access to Dr. Stewart's approach to cardiac care and patient empowerment. Dr. Stewart also shares new surgical innovations - including TAVR and the MitraClip - which require no incision to the patient's chest or ribs, no general anesthesia, and no use of the heart-lung machine.
Dr. Stewart is an endurance athlete who has trained and successfully completed several marathons and triathlons with his heart valve patients.

To see a very strong man's eyes tearing because of how deeply he trust his assistant, that shows he is so loyal to her and she is very loyal to him. This a very rare bond especially hearing she moved from NY to Miami and keep being the great support system for each other. Trust and loyalty takes time, not a short time but a long time.

Hi Sarala, We completely agree!!! There is an amazing connection between Dr. Allan Stewart and Deb Segretti, his practice manager. So you know, Deb recently required a very complex double heart valve replacement surgery that was performed by Dr. Stewart. The great news... Deb is doing WONDERFUL after her procedure!!!!! If you like, you can see Deb's patient success story at this link - www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/heart-surgeon-performs-life-saving-operation-on-longtime-assistant/2697219/.
