Day in the Life of a Google Cybersecurity Intern
I thought I'd hop on the trend and show you what a day in the life of a Google Security Engineering Intern looks like.
There aren't a lot of videos explaining what cybersecurity students and interns do, so I thought of creating a vlog myself. :)

Hey there! My name is Ansh. I'm a student studying cybersecurity and computer science. I aspire to be an Ethical Hacker and love exploring the tiniest details and mechanics of a system. In my free time, I blog about all things technology and practice hacking. When I’m not geeking out, I like spending my time cooking, swimming, reading, and getting to know new people.

Glossary of terms:
- Threat Detection: Threat detection is the practice of analyzing the entirety of a security ecosystem to identify any malicious activity that could compromise the network.
- Scripting languages: A scripting language or script language is a programming language for a runtime system that automates the execution of tasks that would otherwise be performed individually by a human operator. Scripting languages are usually interpreted at runtime rather than compiled.
- IP address: An IP address is a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or a local network.
- VPN: A virtual private network extends a private network across a public network and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network.
- Terminal: A terminal is simply a text-based interface to the computer.
- Command Line Interface: A command-line interface processes commands to a computer program in the form of lines of text. The program which handles the interface is called a command-line interpreter or command-line processor.
- Containerized Environment: Containerization involves bundling an application together with all of its related configuration files, libraries, and dependencies required for it to run in an efficient and bug-free way across different computing environments.
- Go: Go is a statically typed, compiled programming language designed at Google by Robert Griesemer, Rob Pike, and Ken Thompson.

Whats the most economical and time efficient certification to get in an effort to gain an entry level job in cybersecurity?

It's certainly different. You need to demonstrate domain knowledge as well as basic problem solving.

Make a project on every topic that interests you in cybersecurity. Even a small project, it'll give you hands on experience. Application deadlines vary on internship and company.

Cybersecurity, broadly, has 3 areas: Red Team/Offensive Security - deals with acting as a threat actor to find new vulnerabilities in the system Blue Team/Defensive Security - deals with setting up and protecting secure infrastructure Purple Team - little bit of both, threat detection, automation, etc. There are numerous other niches in security related to different systems, softwares, libraries, and infrastructure too. Try exploring different areas in the field and see what interests you most. Hope this helps!

How to get cybersecurity job at placements
Does Google hires Pentesters? Will Offensive Security Certifications like OSCP,OSEP... will helps to get Pentester job at google?

There is a red ream, and there is Project Zero. Also any employee can sign-up for week long pentest exercise if you have an idea of something to try. Doing well on the interviews matters more than certifications.

Hey, you don't need a super fancy laptop for cybersecurity. Something with 16 GB RAM, a 500+GB drive, and a recent CPU is good enough. I'd recommend running Linux on the recent Lenovo ThinkPads

Cybersecurity isn't just about hacking things, my projects relates to the threat detection and automation side of cybersecurity.

Yes you can give JEE Main exam even if you have PCB in Class 12.

I don't get it I know way smarter people;e who can't land an intern position at google and they passed their interview some don't even get one.. what I don['t get is their hiring process how does it work?

More details are here: careers.google.com/stories/google-internship-faqs/ (See: Application and interview process) In the end it comes down to the intern host selecting the candidate with the best fitting skill-set for the project. This is often a hard choice as there are *many* highly-skilled candidates that apply.
