i am a week away from swearing in. when you go off to basic are u gone for months consistently or do you go back home when needed?

So when you go to basic, you’re there 10weeks straight no home and then usually you go straight to AIT after for another couples months ( exact time depends on your MOS)

@@user-ui6nd8nu6x but sometimes you can be split between Basic first and you go home until your next ship out day to AIT. Depends on your contract. Ask your recruiter !

Heyy so honestly I can’t lie at the beginning i wanted to give up so bad but towards the middle, you start finding friends, the ds become nicer and you start realizing that it’s a few weeks of suffering then you’re free😭

oh noooo! maybe the Marines even then that’s very extreme. The navy because they are in water, probably coast guard as well but the army not at all! At least I didn’t have to!

He got a shaving profile. I believe some people use religion as an excuse and also skin problems when shaving too frequently so you can definitely try one of those !! If you look online, there’s definitely someone with some concrete advice on how they got theirs shaving profile!

If you’re considering it, I suggest you do it now early on in life that way while you still don’t have a ton of responsibilities you can explore if it’s some thing for you or not! Because truth is, it isn’t for everyone! Either you like it or you don’t might as well find out earlier than later😭

Shaving profiles are the trashiest most unprofessional look in the army I always hated seeing guys with shaving profiles then again I was an 11bravo

Type correctly ya bum. National Guard is a branch of military. Just because you choose to have some civilian life or not go into infantry doesn’t mean your service is any less.
