I loved how you brought a pregnant woman into this video, I literally got so excited when you started scanning her belly LOL. But, thank you for showing us all your journey because you have truly inspired me to go into the field of sonography, and I know others as well! :)

Yesss I love this video ! I love how you brought us around rather than only explaining
Thanks for the update! It looks like the place you got a job at is a dream, I'm so happy for you ^_^
Thank you so much ! For the update and the advice. I’m taking my last prerequisite during the summer and applying to the cardiac program in August of this year. I did start out wanting to do general but always have loved the heart. And I know now I want to do pediatric cardiac ultrasound. And register later into other things. Congratulations on your job!
Thank you so much for all these videos, I start my sonography program this August and I’m super excited to begin my pathway to helping people every day! Your videos are educational and always reassure me that this is the path I truly wanna take in life so thank you for that!
Wonderful update, glad to hear that you are working where you wanted to. I’m almost done with my first year in DMS school and I just passed my SPI yesterday. Can’t wait to be in your shoes . Congrats . For all the prospective students, this is a great field that is rewarding, pays well, and gives you many job options.
Your journey as a sonography student and later transitioning into a register sonographer has truly inspired me. I’ve a sense of hope that I’ll enjoy this major as well, it’s going to be such a thrilling experience for me to finally work with my other entry sonographers co workers and see their progress in the beginning stage of learning how to fully perform their sonography duty etc. lol Congratulations 🎉 again dear upon this major accomplishment! God bless!!
Also your videos have help me a lot on learning more on sonography and it had also made me feel so sure about my decision I really do like sonography and I see myself working hard for a job like this , it excites me for my future ,keep up the good work I love your videos

THANK YOU FOR THIS! I am currently a first year in college and when I saw this job I was like, I feel like I’d be interested in this. I want to work in the medical field but I am not quite a huge fan of needles... I was going to stick with being an RN until I found this job! I’m still researching which medical career jobs I’d desire the most but I’ll keep this in mind 😊😊
Congratulations on your job! 🎉🍾❤️😊

Could you make a video on how many hours you work, vacations, night shifts, if this job has flexible hours ect? Please respond it would really help me out a lot!
Omg just came across your video and u are so cute! Thanks for the tips :) Hope you are having a great day
Congrats 🎊
I would like to end up being a sonographer but I just have so many doubts. I'm in hs and I am taking anatomy now and I don't find it really interesting and I'm sort of bad at it.... I'm not too I interested in the healthy part of sonography but I like the environment that I'm going to be in and the technology and being able to put smiles of mothers faces. (Ik there won't always be smiles sadly).. But I really want sonography to be my end goal even though anatomy is really not my thing. Bc I know schooling is just a certain amount of time and once I get past all the learning I'll know it was worth it.
Can you do a “what all sonogrophers do in a day of work”

My last day in the life of a registered sonographer shows exactly what I do in my work day!
I’m working on my medical assistant right now before I start my sonogram technician program.
Would you recommend a sonography diploma program or a degree program? What are the differences once you get out in the work force (e.g. difference in pay, ability, job description, etc). I've been accepted to a diploma and a degree and trying to make the best decision!
Hi, how do you work in the COVID situation. Thank you for sharing your experience
When you entered college, did you know for sure that you wanted to do sonography ? For me, I'm a little unsure but I like the environment and i like how you get to use technology. And ik not everything is going to be good news but most of the times you get to see parents smile seeing their babies and it would be a great feeling. Should I still try and go Into this path even though I'm a bit unsure?
Wow congrats!
Hi! I love you’re videos!! So I found a sonography program and it’s an 18 month program! But the admission director told me that I would only get SPI certified & then I’ll have to work 1 year to get my certification. Will that be a problem? Should I consider this school? It’s accredited by (ABHES)
Help!!!So I live kinda close to your program even though I live in Delaware. I’ve currently just started a bachelors in health science I’m in my second semester and am interested in medical sonography. I’ve looked into Howard and Montgomery and I would most likely commute. Would you recommend me to finish my bachelor’s at my current college and then go on to apply to either of those programs, or should I not finish my degree at this school at all (which doesn’t offer DMS) and apply to DMS at Montgomery or Howard? Because I would essentially have two degrees and I would have to do two extra years to do the DMS program after I graduate and I don’t think I need two degrees to get a high salary in DMS. I’m new to researching this but very excited so please help a girl out so I don’t keep wasting money!!!!!
I completed my MBBS & 1 year internship from Bangladesh. Now I want to build my career in the field of Ultrasonography as a Sonographer in UK. What would be my next 'to-do'?
Ms. Kristy I had my CAS UTZ yesterday, the sonographer told me to come back after 2-3 weeks to rescan the result of the heart of my 20week old baby. I just wondering and worried at the same time why everything is clear on the result except for the heart of my baby. The sonographer told me that he is unable to see the clear vision of my baby's heart condition...please give me some advice... Do I have to ask for a second opinion? Thank you.
Thanks so much for such a great vlogs. I’m going through some changes at my current job and truly want to learn more about this career path. However I’m dreading cause I’m turning 40 and having to go back to school for another 2yrs or so make me very anxious and scared. I don’t even know where to start as an older adult going back to school for a 2nd career changes. Should I even start?

depending on where you live and what the school you're going to offers you could get your bachelors if you want, most programs just have pre reqs and the the 2 year associates degree
I was considering going the DMS route but had read that sonography had more applicants than jobs once they graduate. Is that true? How hard is it to find a job in the DMV area?
can i ask why you chose this over nursing?
I’m in high school right now and I’m a senior. I doubt myself. I don’t take anatomy. Will I still be able to get into sonography? Also is it difficult? Or do you catch on. Also how was college was it hard
Can you do this if you got to school for general sonographer ? How many years of schooling. Do you get paid well ?
Hello. thanks for the video. it's hard to find the video like this like how it would be like actually working as a sonographer. I have a one question to ask if you don't mind! Do you think you could work as a sonographer with a back pain(ex. disc problems)? I am a office worker and thinking of changing my career toward medical field and sonographer came into my mind. But the fact that I have a constant back pain is one of the biggest fear now even over studying for 2 years and stuff.
Is there a specific ultrasound tech specialty for athletes or is that just a regular diagnostic tech?
How long have you worked at the Maternal Fetal Medicine Office?
I wanted to do this but it's not offered at my cc. They have it at other schools 2 and 3 hours away. 😫
Is it really hard to get a job? I once had a medical sonographer tell me competition is tough
How would you register as a ob gyn sonography after college?
I'm starting in school for sonography in January and I'm terrified lol.

In a scrotum exam, do you let the patient cover up or does the patient have to wait uncomfortably till you cover him up? If I have to let you cover me up, that’s a dealbreaker test over.
Where did you go to school?
How many courses did you have to take on your 1st semester?
Is there alot of math to become a sonographer?
Where did you work while you were in school? Or Did you work while you were in school?
How many years did you go to school for?
Weird question but when would a sonographer use a probe to do a transvaginal ultrasound, or does the doctor do that?
@KristyDMS
4 жыл бұрын
transvaginal ultrasounds can be used for many things. when a pelvic ultrasound is order for like abnormal bleeding, for ob/gyn its for checking the cervix. many reasons. we are the ones who do it

I plan on too! I also have a fear of blood and needles which is why I originally never planned on going for the medical field. However I think that sonographers don't have to deal with needles because nurses will do that. I think we may see blood and bodily fluids at times tho. IM SO NERVOUS

My program at a state school requires basically an associates degree of prereqs before you can apply so its taking me 2 and 1/2 years to apply and it will be another 2 years in the program.
@veanne
4 жыл бұрын
For my school and program, you can do your prerequisites in 1.5 years but people take 2 years. You don't need to get an associates degree of prereqs. Just take your prereqs (see what your program requires) then they'll add the grades you get in that and see how many points you get. Then if you qualify, you get in :) If anyone of you guys have instagram, please let me know! I'm trying to follow people related to sonography lol...
