Excellent, a first class presentation. You are a credit to Stagecoach , a fabulous empoyee and a fantastic video producer. We absolutely loved this broadcast.

I used to drive with Stagecoach East and I must say, I couldn't help but notice the green road driver feedback unit. That is one thing I don't miss about bus driving lol. Great video!

For a first blog this is great mate, can’t wait to see what’s coming up
This is very interesting to watch I myself work for Stagecoach East Midlands and am based out of Hull this was a great watch keep it up mate I’ve been driving nearly 3 years now and love every minute 👊
Loved the video, subscribed right away! Looking forward to the next one.
Cool video! I also like city buses!
Interesting to see. I start my bus driving journey on the 24th June and start training. I'm buzzing for it and find these kind of videos helpful in what to expect.
I work for B&H buses, Nice to see this video. I catch the stagecoach bus from time to time as I live out in the sticks and your the only firm that will service us apart from a Sunday when there is no service at all. Day of rest I suppose =)
Nice to see a friendly bus driver I know it can be stressful my dad was a bus driver he always was friendly to the passengers great video
Great video found it really interesting and it's always great to see other drivers working life.
Loved this, I currently drive for SC down in the South West. Keep these up it's nice to see what bus driving is like in other areas of the UK!

love the time lapse also nice enviro 300
Randomly recommended, 10 secs in i recognised where you were and what depot you would be going to! I live in Chalford so go past the depot every day. thanks for the insight into another world :)
Hi mate, we were on the training bus together with Paul. We all had some good times on there. I love this idea. Will give the entire video a watch when I can. Best of luck to you pal.
Well done with your video's really enjoyed it
Love this video very nice hope you keep posting
Well done buddy. I was only allowed to film outside the cab when I was at Stagecoach, surprised they let you film everything inside the cab! You'll enjoy driving the older Enviro400s, they have a lot of power
I’m surprised that they let u video when u in the cab but good to see I work for stagecoach and can be interesting job and stressful as well but can be good pay I just came back after a year off due to a illness but glad to be back again behind the wheel hope to see more videos well done
Interesting video to watch from someone local. Im near Chippenham myself. Used to work for Stagecoach a long time ago Barnstaple Depot which was pretty good, nice colleagues, great rural routes, but was often sent to Exeter which I hated as a depot, unpleasant conditions and duties set to maximum drive- minimum breaks, buses in poor condition. You seem to enjoy your job there so it's great to see. At least you don't have to wear shirt and tie anymore 😁 Can't wait to see more
Great first vid. well done
Great video im a driver for Stagecoach East and the services i drive can also be very busy and hectic
Nice one mate. I'm a Bristol driver currently on loan to Gloucester so I'll have to keep an eye out for you at the Transport Hub. I'm envious of the fact you've driven 19188, that's one I really want to drive at some point. Apparently it used to be the best bus at Hyde Road
Great insight into what it's like being a bus driver, looking forward to seeing more videos. Just dropped a sub as well 🙂
Randomly got recommended this video and really enjoyed it!
Nice video I start my training with stagecoach soon.
Great video Sir

You live in a really pretty part of the country… great video work
7:44 i was watching ur greenroad and seen it flash orange hahaha
Looks so much nicer than driving in London lol
Love the video will u be doing more day in the life vids
I’m obsessed with buses and I get lots of waves, smiles and thumbs ups! I want to be a bus driver and a question, how do you know which way to go on a route I’m just curious lol
Interesting to hear your point of view. There's a Stagecoach depot just round the corner from me, and my neighbour in the next block to me is semi-retired, he stopped driving for Stagecoach 3 or 4 years ago but after 6 months re-applied to drive a maximum of 2 days a week. He generally just does a Wednesday shift now, although can quite often agree to doing an extra day here and there. However he's decided to call it a day this September when he turns 67. The Stagecoach depot is in Dumfries and comes under Stagecoach West Scotland. They have roughly 10-12 Optare Solos from 12-reg to 15-reg. Single deckers they have about 15-16, they are typically 10-regs, 62-regs, 13-reg and a handful of 64-regs. On top of that they have about 8 coaches, 5 of which do the Glasgow route and the rest go to Stranraer on the other side of the region (County) about 80 miles away.
Stumbled across this randomly and I'll admit. This was quite fascinating. I work for a certain blue bus operator over on the otherside of the South. Its fascinating to see how different things are but also how similar things are. How did your depot management take to you asking about doing this? I'm intrigued as I can imagine how the conversation would go with my depot 🤣
I've just had a holiday in Keswick in the Lake District which is all Stagecoach and obviously a lovely area of the country to work in. A fair number of the journeys I travelled on, on the 555, were standing room only and the drivers were all very obliging and made sure they got everyone on, although I might suspect not totally legally. Arrive at Keswick bus station, let about 70 passengers off and then you see the bus leaving again fifteen minutes later for Lancaster with perhaps another 70 or so on. I'd love to read some comments from drivers based at Kendal to hear how they enjoy their working life, I suspect it may not be as idyllic as it might seem to the passenger!
When you can, I recommend driving the 63, 66 and 69/620. These routes are one of the most scenic imo at Stagecoach West Stroud depot!

There's hundreds of bus drivers doing it now check Double Decker Anton's videos he has loads of channel links but there's so many more than he has now days it's a great eye opener in to the industry ❤❤
I lasted 1 year bus driving, couldn't hack it. Paid off the company for my license then went coach driving instead, much better, all passengers are happy because they're on holiday 😂
i wanna be a bus driver when im older just passed my car drivers licence and hope it goes well
stagecoach bus driver in ayrshire i ve been thinking of doing a video lol
Nice bus drivers
Surprised your company let you do it! My company definitely wouldnt!
Nice video, I'm autistic and have been obsessed with buses since I was 2. My school that I go to is for kids with special needs and every day when I go to school in the taxi with my friends I see lots of Stagecoach Buses. I'd love to be a bus driver for Stagecoach South West here in Exeter when I'm older, I'm turning 16 in July so it's not long until I will be old enough to learn how to drive.

Hello buddy, great videos 😁👌🏼 I work for stagecoach myself and I was just interested in something. We are told we can't even put that we work for stagecoach on any social media, but you are able to make videos? I would love to make videos as people like them. I was wondering is it different rules where you are based? Thanks for your time bud 👍🏻
Hey bud, Stagecoach SW here! I’ve always been interested in other drivers publishing videos about our work day as there are a few of us in the company. I’ve no desire to myself but I thought it may fall foul of company social policies? Did you have to run it past your OM first? I’m genuinely interested and not criticising! Also, interesting they gave you a new bus as opposed to replacing the lamp, which was what would happen here with a defective headlight at first user.
I do realy like these sort of videos even more so when they are by drivers in places I know like Gloucester as I go there from time to time as it aint far on the train from where i am and have been to as I am looking to become a bus driver within the next year or so

its a thankless Job I drive buses myself looks good on some of these videos but believe me its not all nice like this. It depends where your bus routes are most that are out in the sticks aren't too bad but if your in the towns and housing estates its not good at all. A lot of us face verbal and physical abuse from passengers daily along with unruly rude youths who smoke on the buses and cause trouble.
Great vidm when is the next one out
Don't go telling your managers that they give you an hour but it doesn't take anywhere near that amount of time. They'll suddenly reduce your time and pay you 30 minutes less!
I swear i saw you today on adl400 19441 scne on the 20 (or x20) to faucete street
Were you at Edinburgh Bus Station today? I’m a driver too for another company and swear I’ve just seen you
How do you feel when people take photos of your bus because I know some bus drivers don't like people taking photos of them as I live in London bus drivers don't mind people taking their numbers but they don't like their photos been taken so what is your on take about this
@BusDriverFroosh
Ай бұрын
Personally I don't mind, but I can see why some drivers don't, its all a personal preference but you've just got to respect the driver, thats all

I love your video and my first time seeing you and already love you
Take it Stagecoach don't know you've done this? 😂
Welcome 👋 I wouldn't mind some "boring" videos where you record just the route at normal speed ;)

A great vlog. More of the same please. What are your tattoos?
instead of time lapse you should/could leave raw audio and speed maybe, or in separate videos potentially, maybe its just me but i find the raw footage a bit better

Do you have to get your videos approved before you can record them in the cab
Hold the steering wheel as you'd been taught, and have a drink on your break.
Was it enviro 400 or 200
Did you get special permission to film from stagecoach because when I worked for them they where very strict about taking photos or videos on buses and sharing online

@@BusDriverFroosh no problem I'm a coach driver in Wakefield now but passed my test through arriva a couple years ago an like you found his channel before I went there so meeting him was great really down to earth fella.. hopefully he does fire up the old KZread account an start posting again but highly doubtful if he is even allowed to document things now as he is quite high up in the ranks at arriva so could jeopardize his position. Great to see your channel though you have gained a sub keep up the good work bud :)
Quite interesting. But might I raise two points. It appeared from the start of the video right through until the end that you were extremely tired. I can understand a professional driver looking tired toward the end of a shift. But looking almost completely knackered at the start is perhaps not the best way to start your shift! Perhaps you ought to get to bed a little earlier in the evenings? My second point is the position of your hands on the steering wheel. For most of the footage when your hands were in picture you were holding the centre and right side of the horizontal bar on your steering wheel. Now we all know that's far from ideal. I appreciate that the old "ten to two" or "quarter to three" positions are not as expected these days. But if one of my "Traffic Officer" friends had seen your hands they may well have pulled you for a chat.... Might be worth you thinking about your hand positions. But other than that I enjoyed seeing what your day is like and will subscribe to you.

I'm also a bus Driver I work for National Express in the Midlands I'm always tired its part of being a bus driver, hours are all over the place every day your start and finish times are different you can start at 5am one morning and 12pm the next day your sleeping pattern is totally messed up. So its no surprise he looks knackered a lot of my colleagues look the same too.

12.27 answered my question haha
If only the company knew you held the wheel like that during most of the footage you'd get collared. It's not safe your hands are supposed to be either side of the wheel incase you need to react quickly to a cyclist / pedestrian walking out infront of you. I know this because i learnt this in training and ended up doing 6 years on double deckers doing round trips around Altrincham. After more experience i used the side and top of the wheel but maybe they don't give a sh*t no more about passenger safety Unless they teach differently now i have no idea
You are grounded for 100000000000000000000000000000
James Underwood UK J Wang Motorcoachworld
My 1st observations are that you need to learn how to hold the steering wheel correctly.
You guys don’t moan about pay rises although you deserve one for picking up the slack off those moaning train drivers
Well thanks for pointing out how a day in the life of a bus driver goes cause I've been doing it for 21 years now and i had no idea. Sign on in 5 minutes?? I was always in the depot an hour early and i had to rely on the bus to get to work years ago. What's with this polo shirt nonsense with the bus companies now?? First bus does purple cause they're all pansies anyway, but now Stagecoach do polos too?? The traditional shirt and tie 👔 not good enough now??
