The beam is what it's called to make the structure ( House ) stronger and more sturdier. In Filipino culture, or any Island culture if you have visitors or workers you cook and invite them to eat. Don't let negativity bother or get to the two of you. Do what is right for both of you. As they say, if they are not jealous of you, they are envious of you. You know what's interesting about the guys you've got working for you? It's that, in spite of the fact that they're getting paid hourly, they are working hard and staying consistently busy. I worked construction (painting, concrete and heavy equipment operation) in my early years and, back then, an hourly wage was an excuse for guys to drag their feet on a job - often referred to as "job security." In other words, the longer you took to complete a job, the longer you had a job. I'm sure Dennis is familiar with what I'm talking about. The pace these guys are working at says a lot about their integrity as workers.

great job on work done today. Meriben's such a nice lady. I enjoyed watching her cooking. that pansit is my favorite dish. I may be an old texan, but I do love lots of filipino foods. chicken adobo (chicken, potatoes, carrots) is also a favorite. I don't know the name of many dishes my daughter in-law (a filipina) makes, but even though we live in texas, she makes her native foods daily. not all 6 kids like it, but most do. however, I'm not a fan of fish or balut or her homemade sausage. I live in canada,i am a bit older now,so i cant do the work i am use to doing.so when i hire people i always feed them if they are hungry,bring them drinks.I worked for myself most of my life,my customers would do that for me.I am a bit of a hard ass,but i also respect people and what they do.Oh,i also give tips for real good jobs,i've been blessed financially so it feels good to give back.

❤ I always assume that those that watch this channel from the phillipines, watch others but,perhaps not. I've watched builds from small to extra large buildings ,from this country. Snacks and meals are the custom period . I love it ,shows the philippine way of giving and sharing.

My house looked rough at first but slowly the finishing is being done. I used lots of rebar and concrete for two stories, earthquake proof I believe. It will last longer than me haha Hi guys!

I only noticed two things... I thought the block would be twice as wide. The second is they don't put cement on all four sides of the block. Only the top and bottom. Not that it's wrong or anything, just different.
