73 days ago, I would’ve said “That’s cute Little bear, But that was not a kangaroo”. However, at this point I no longer doubt anything that little bear does, sees or thinks. Clearly, that was a kangaroo. ✊🏼
Mama B I am IMPRESSED!! I remember you being scared to death when climbing those little towers back when you started in Georgia and now here you are scrambling fearlessly way up on Dragons Tooth!! Walking against the wind can be exhausting and I’m glad that little challenge didn’t bring down either of y’alls energy and excitement on what looks like a beautiful day. Congrats on 700 miles!! I’m glad you girls got to enjoy a little time off trail with friends. I hope it was rest for your spirit to be in an actual home for the night and not just a hotel or hostel.
Just love little Bears attitude and spirit - !
Hey Little Bear & Mama! You may recognize me as a viewer and commenter from the get go. Been pretty much just following y’all and Ben and his little sister. Well, I have some catching up, because I had a heart attack on trail Memorial Day in the Roan Highlands. Please don’t be alarmed, for the attack uncovered two clogged arteries which had an invitation from the grim reaper just around the corner. It took 4 hours for me to get to the ER in Asheville and I ended up with a triple bypass and am still in the recovery room, waiting to hear from the rehab center. The pre-op attending doctor made a point to have a conversation with me the second day just to impress upon me that the AT saved my life! Had I not been giving my heart a virtual stress test (which caused it to scream at me), my heart would have blocked up with no chance of recovery. This episode has given me a second chance and the power to see the small blessings and miracles on the journey from trail angels (and real ones) and have the vision to recognize God’s miracles and small blessings. I sense he has been protecting y’all too! - Happy Trails, I’ll be working to get back on trail soon. - Sugar Bear. KZread.com/@sugarbearspawtreks

Sugar Bear, I saw you on Ramdino. Praying for your complete and total recovery, and continued joy and closer walk with the Lord. ❤
Those are the Trails I help look after. Sorry I missed you. After I hiked I decided to volunteer so for the past 8 years I’ve been on the McAfee’s Knob Task force. We look after the whole Virginia Triple Crown area. I love all those spots. Especially Tinker! It’s my favorite. ❤️ You both are doing great 👍 Signage
Fun video! A great day of adventure!
As soon as Little Bear mentioned the big ears and short arms I knew she was describing a kangaroo 😂 Thank you for the great video of this section! You two did an awesome job! Congrats on 700 miles 😍
You may have seen a cougar. Big ears, light in color, will stand on two legs to get a better view, makes loud noise when surprised and very very fast. I used to live in VA and spotted a cougar once when hiking.
The VA3👑 is one of our favorite sections! So great you had clear skies!
YES!! To save the snails 🐌 ✨️ 🤣
Congrats on 700 miles! Another goal down! Journey on! 🌻✌️❤️🦆
This day looked so fun! You guys seemed to really enjoy Dragon’s Tooth. Congrats on 700 miles!
You ladies are rocking it! Can see the beauty of it all reflected in your faces! Congratulations on the big 700! Happy hiking! LB the look on your face when you accidentally clocked your mom with the trekking pole! Precious! What a treat to FaceTime with Ellie!
Lil Bear is an adventurous little cub
Yeah! 💥700💥 A kangaroo making 🐘 noises; new species? 😂 LB should start a campaign...SOS, save our snails. 😊 Those winds must have been blowing 30+ mph. Your souls were beaming up on Dragons Tooth. You both looked so happy and excited. 😄 Bless those 2 hikers for showing you the way up. I'm so happy for you bears! Great episode! Take care and rest well ✌️
Loved the start of this!! Kangaroos and fairy gardens!!

Congrats on 700 miles
Finally made it home from vacation! I've not miss a video, but now I can comment again! ❤and 🔦
Great physical day ... Kangaroo ,, Dragons Tooth ,, and giant lizards ... can't wait to hear about the dreams ... Stay Safe and God Bless ... .... Carefull on the ID of unknown animals ,,,, I once walked into a high bowl of the Rockies to fish some Beaver dams ,, I saw a couple pair of large ears above the brush ,, thought maybe a couple of ranch mules ,,, but as I got closer , a huge Mama Moose stood up ,gathered her calves and walked away ..
I've been out to the top end of the Tooth a couple of times, although the past two or so times I stopped where you did. The view is incredible there, and it is so much fun to climb on the rocks. You two did really well -- natural born rock climbers! I hope you got just as nice a view from McAfee -- guess I will find out shortly.
Congratulations on your milestone and Dragon’s Tooth. Love it up there! There are Angels everywhere… thank goodness! A great thing Jen did!! Be safe!God bless you and yours! ✌️🙂❤️
Congratulations on 700 miles! Woot! 🎉🥳💐 Dragons tooth looks like so much fun! You had a great day for it. 🌞
So glad you enjoyed Dragon's Tooth! Hurray for 700 miles!! An Elk?, a cougar?, a kangaroo? What ever it was exciting!! Onward Bears!!😊
I can’t help thinking what a wonderful adventure this is for little Bear (and of course for you) children don’t get to just wander in nature anymore- for hours and hours. I love this! So happy for you both!
Congrats on dragon's tooth. I would have liked a little wind when I went through. It was hot and windless when I hiked through.

Yeah, rain and fog for me, had to go back later to really enjoy it.
Congratulations on 700 miles! 🎉 🎈 It sounds like you may have seen a mountain lion. They make a weird noise for a vocal call. If you look it up the sound on the internet and play it, you may be able to ID it that way.
"THE BIG 700" NICE!! THE ROCKS ARE SO COOL.NICE HIKE.😊
Wow such a great day on trail. 700 miles is just short of a third of the way. I think that's awesome. I'm sure staying with new friends was wonderful.🌲👏
You both looked like you had such a fun day... thank you for showing me how to climb up Dragons Tooth. I plan on doing the Virginia Triple Crown in September or October. I am also not a big fan of heights. Also, The windy day made me think of Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day... perhaps the strange kangaroo shaped animal you both saw was a "Heffalump or a Woozle"..lol Stay safe
Congratulations on 700 👏🏼 tell Little Bear it could have been a Kangaroo 🦘… there’s a Safari place in VA near there, and last year there was a hurricane that passed by, maybe it got out 😊I look to see if there was any reports, but none! I figured if it did escape they will not mention it trying to protect it 😂 awesome hike! Beautiful views ❤
Congratulations on 700!!!! Love that you both saw the “kangaroo” would be kinda cool to find out one was running loss there 😅 Oh and thank you for sharing what the camp meals taste like- I stick with what I know but I’d try new ones if you suggest.
Your husband may do all the adventure stuff, yet you are the one walking 2000 plus miles from GA to ME, and that seems pretty darned adventurous to me! I think you're one of the adventure moms of the year, and in my humble opinion, you were wise not to climb to the top. I mean, the view was fantastic from where you were! Congrats on your newest milestone.
I love that area. I think Virginia has some of the most scenic views of the trail
Love the zoom on you camera
Woot! Woot! 700 miles! Wow! Congratulations!!!!!!! And awesome job getting up on dragon’s tooth - great picture!
Congratulations on 700 miles!!!!!
WOW you bears are so brave!! Bravo!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏 You did great on dragons tooth!! I am so proud of you both!! ❤️. Congratulations on 700 miles!!!! So nice of those trail angels to give you such a wonderful night at there home!! God Bless you both! Stay safe & Hike On! 🥾🏕️🇺🇸🧗♀️🧗♀️ 😴 Love the cute pictures at the end!!
700! Wow!
Little Bear was fun to watch today. The kangaroo, little animal cottage under the moss, 700 miles, the wind, and Dragon’s Tooth! Then she got to FT Ellie!
That wind was crazy for awhile!! And you two made Dragon's Tooth look like a giant stone playground! How nice that your friends took you for resupply, and then you got to spend the evening visiting them in their home. Nice to get a glimpse of Florida Elle, LB! Praying for a continued safe journey toward Katahdin.
Wow that wind is really whipping around… be safe out there. The views you guys keep getting are amazing. What a world of memories you are making. So awesome
Congratulations on 700 miles. Wish you could have gotten a sunrise from Dragon's Tooth. The views on my hike were awe inspiring. So proud of how brave and strong you both are. You've come a long way, literally and figuratively! God bless and enjoy the rest of the VA Triple Crown!!
The chippy house☺️ 700 miles 🎉 "TWINKLE" 😂 Beautiful day for Dragons Tooth!!! I'm with mb on that - adventuring SAFELY👍🏻

Good morning, Bears. Congrats on 700 + miles. Loved the views. Glad you had local guides to climb Dragon's Tooth. Loved watching both of you scramble along. Could see the kid in LB emerge. So fun. Ya'll are making so much progress, and at the same time, you're having fun doing it. Those winds on the trail were really blowing. Glad you had fun with your new friends and the puppy dog. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Congrats on 700 miles. Maybe that was a kangaroo that escaped from a zoo Little Bear!! 🤣 Yes Dragons Tooth is a lot fun. A rock jungle gym. So glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy the rest of the VA triple crown with MacAfee Knob and Tinker Cliffs. Happy Trails...Winkle
By the time you two get to the Northeast, you'll be real pros at rocking climbing and scrambling. You're already doing so much better than you did at the start!! YAY!! And Congrats at 700 miles!!!
Congrats on your 700 milemarker and your accomplishment of Dragons Tooth! Great Day Bears!😊
🤸♀️🤸♂️🤸♂️ 700 🎉🎉
Congrats on 700 miles! Y’all are crushing it!
I wanted to hike triple crown last year but my friend backed out do to family medical. So hopeful we go this year. But i dont think i would Have the nerve to climb to the top of dragons tooth. Amazin you saw the rare species of the Virginia Kangaroo.
Yeah the climb to the top of Dragons Tooth is a little scary!! One silver lining with a windy day is that it blows the bugs away 😊
You both are doing so awesome and putting out great videos. I too have seen something in the woods that wasnt like anything native to the area, exciting stuff!! Take care ladies and keep enjoying each day. Love and light to you both. ✌️ Pepe.
🎉😊 700 ,WHOOHOO !!!
LB, stop hitting mama in the head! She's bumped her head enough 😂 Dragon's Tooth looks similar to the Billy Goat Trail near Washington DC. Except there it's the Potomac River down below. There's a lot of using your hands, but the views are worth it!
700 way to go!! Congratulations! You two are crushing it!
Congrats on 700 miles hiked ! There were goats on the trail last year, could have bee one of them y'all saw. fun day on Dragon's Tooth, sketchy getting down for sure.
Hey Mama Bear and Little Bear, I had the honor of driving you to Enterprise in Roanoke. Love the video now, I don't have to say, "I wonder what happened too." Lol. Keep pushing forward and videos coming. 📣 I'm cheering for you from Virginia 📣
Highlight: LB “Dude if I was a chipmunk I’d live in that house all day!” Well that and 700 - congrats!
Congratulations on making 700 miles. And climbing dragons tooth. Your kitty Ellie, sorry if I spelled it wrong she's so pretty. I have a cat her name is Sassy and she's 11 years old. Wish I could share a picture with you. Have a great visit with two

..Naw ,, no antlers .... maybe baby Dogman ..
There are wallabies living in some areas of Scotland. They are small versions of kangaroos which escaped from a captive group many decades ago and have become established in several breeding groups. They don't do any harm. Maybe that's what you saw but the trail is so busy with hikers that they would have been sighted before now if there was such a population. Well done on getting to 700 miles.
Another hiker I am following passed the 700 miles to Katadin mark today. He stayed at this really cute little cabin near Falls Village, Connecticut today. He said he found it on his far out app. He also mentioned where you camp as a thru hiker is pretty restricted in Connecticut so was glad he was able to stay there at a very reasonable price. I realize it will be awhile before you get that far. But I am very confident you WILL get there so thought I would throw that bit of info out for you. Again..Happy Hiking!😊
Mt man here hang in there be careful out there 👍👍 good job to the both of u
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 WTG! 👏👊👍🙌
They say that the Virginia Opossums is North America’s only Marsupial. But this does not look like a kangaroo. So not sure lol… Hope you figure it out hahaha. Be kind of cool to know what you guys saw
Spectacular day!

Congrats on 700
Maybe you saw a jackalope! 😆
🎉congratulations on 7 big ones
Congratulations on 700 miles.
Did y’all see a baby Bigfoot?????😮
❤❤
Pretty views today!
16:00 that part reminded me of a video I watched on the Mahousic notch. That section is boulder central. I think it took them 2 hours to do 1 mile 😲 Would love to know what animal you saw! Gorgeous day ☀️
It was definitely a kangaroo. And the first one sighted on the AT. With the increase in global trade, many species are hopping aboard container ships and finding new lands overseas. Little bear should be given credit for this sighting. The Jackalope theory is humorous, but the Jackalope is a fictional creature, so I doubt that it was a Jackalope.
It was a jackalope
you might of saw an ELK
Probably a goat I have seen some on trail before.
Some may theorize that it was a Samsquamtch…but they are native to Canada…
hey please inquire about katahdin baxter state park requires reservations before entering
I bet what you saw was a jackalope😆😆
Congratulations on the miles… Enjoy your zero.
Maybe Big Foot's cousin?
It’s probably the kangaroo’s house. Lol just joking.🤣🤣🤣
