Thank you so much! We appreciate your support. We are having an adventure of a lifetime and we’re so grateful. 🙏🏼💙
Blow downs galore, wow! That I think was your character builder. It was an obstacle course for you two! So much wildlife to see too. How cool to see the fawn in the grass. Hopefully its mother was nearby and wasn’t harmed by all of the blowdowns. Another great adventure and Little Bear🧸you are truly an amazing person. I haven’t heard you whine about anything! Most people that I’ve followed on the trail are complaining about something and I get that but you are just totally embracing this thru hike like just one glorious walk with Mother Nature 🙏. Catch you two tomorrow! 🐱🧸🐻🦌🐇🐢🐍🥾⛰️🌅👍

Thank you! We are grateful for our safety and all that we get to experience. No two days are alike. 😊🙏🏼💙
You two are hiking so strong, so good. You're doing great! The fawn was incredible! Stay safe. geek
You’re doing something most people only dream of, so just do the hike the way you want too and be flexible. We are just happy to be along for the ride. Be safe and enjoy.
The deer was likely not abandoned.. the mother deer will leave them for long periods to avoid attracting predators.. but they will be back.

And sadly many people take them to wildlife rescues centers instead of leaving them alone. You are right, not abandoned.

@@jhonyermo You're right. If the ears are curled, they need help, if they're straight up, Momma is around.
Thank you for not touching ot bothering the baby deer. Some other people would have. Observe, don't disturb!! You certainly had your wildlife views today too. Praise God you were all safe from the storm, so many trees downed, but you two just continued north. Well done. Love following along , thanks for all the work to post the videos. Many blessings for continued safe travels. You're doing awesome
Thankful that Story and Prince were protected from the tree fall over night. Thankful that you weren't further along on trail when you stopped to camp - those blowdowns!!!! LB's slow-mo fall 😂🤣 - the fawn 🥰🥰🥰 -
Oh my gosh those blow downs were no joke! You two are doing a great job. Stay safe keep up the good work👍🏻
The bushes with all the 'stickers & prickers' & climbing through blow downs would have been my character builders for the day! You 2 did GREAT! Hurray for trail magic! Great video. Happy Hiking!!😊
You both are doing extremely well. There will always be those that offer advice based on their experience. I personally think you're doing it right and most importantly safely. Your both have a beautiful relationship as mother and daughter. So blessed by watching your videos and enjoying with you this incredible journey. Keep the faith and love and light is on you both❤

Thank you! We’re happy with our progress, decisions and hike! It’s been awesome!
Deer leave fawns as the fawns do not have scent to attract predators. Best to observe and leave alone as you did! Mama was no doubt watching.
Little bear I got a giggle at your expense and actually had to watch your fall twice.😜 Sorry, not sorry. Thanks for the giggle. a And the bushwacking through. all those trees and up and over and around. Good practice for the Mahoosuc Notch. Jungle gym of rocks. You'll be going through at some point.🥰🤩
That was an adventurous day 71. I loved seeing Bambi and the rabbits, butterflies, and trail magic! Journey on Bears! 🌻✌️❤️🦆
You guys are awesome! I so enjoy your vlogs. Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤
Aww..the baby deer was adorable! Sometimes the Mama deer leaves for a few hours, but then comes back! Looks like it was a much better day and the Trail Magic was a nice bonus! I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage especially if the weather is unpredictable. Safety is definitely number one and God's plan/timing sometimes is different than our own. God will be with you both every step of the way to Katahdin! 🙏
WOW! how strong were the winds you think to blow all those huge trees down ? You all got lucky ! Ohh just saw the baby fawn ! How cool! Another great video! Thank you !! 😊
Hey Guys. Love that you viewed a loss of nature and then a gift from nature. My Grandfather( who lived and medicated from the forest.. his mother was Native American) used to say that’s why God put our eyes closer to our brain than our fingers… meaning that hopefully our judgment would be to see and not touch) You Guys did the right thing. Pretty sure Momma wasn’t too far away. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us this day. God bless and keep you and yours at home!!✌️🙂❤️

Little Bear has eyes like a hawk!! She is so amazing! That ground nest was very interesting, so camouflaged, and of course LB found it 👍 Wow, that tree blow-down area was crazy!! 😯 And the fawn!!🥰 You both are amazing and have obviously proven you are doing just fine with your own decision making skills ❤❤
The pricker bushes looked like black berries. Thank you for today's video the fawn was great to see, and the painted turtle. As it has been said hike your own hike, because it is yours not theirs
Wow, “plan for a rainy day” takes on a whole new meaning on the trail. This day seemed more like a Spartan Race than a hike! Great job!

Momma bear: thanks for keeping it ‘real’. You have a great attitude about nature. It’ll rub off on Little bear. 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️🇺🇸👊🏻
Another awesome video! Yes, thank you, God! May God continue to keep and bless you both!
🚶♀️🐻👟👟🚶♂️🐻🐈👟👟⛺🌞 you both are bushwhacking right along I'm so glad you two are safe after seeing all them blow Downs the baby deer was adorable we had one in the yard a few weeks ago thanks for another great video love and light to you both and goodnight Ellie 🐈😺
WHAT AN AMAZING DAY FOR YOU 🥰🥰 Mother Nature was putting on a spectacular show!!! I am just so incredibly thankful that you stayed where you did that night!!!! That microburst or tornado must have been horrible to take down so many huge trees in that area 😱 That baby deer was too precious 🥰🥰🥰 All of the animals you were able to see!! Trail magic too🙌🙌🙌 so COOL💗

Thank you. I’m so thankful for our time together and our bond. It’s truly priceless. 🙏🏼💙
Wow, that was one heck of a storm! Thank goodness nobody was camping in that area.
It has been a bit wetter this spring than usual, for sure. I suspected that would be the case because I associate El Nino years with more rain in the East. I think we are transitioning out of that weather pattern, so the latter half of the Trail may well be more dry. Unfortunately that may also mean a bit warmer. But you have found ways to adapt, and this will just be another thing to get used to and deal with. Edit: I think there's a good chance that the heavy blow-down area was hit by an F0 or F1 tornado. The large number of blown-down trees in one area seem to indicate a micro-burst.
Oh my gosh!! That baby deer is SO CUTE!! Momma's out feeding. A little hint with baby deer, if their ears are straight up, Momma is around and they're getting nutrients. If the ears are curled at all, Momma hasn't been there and they are in dire need of help. Just a little tid bit of info I learned from a Wildlife Rescue in our area. And Little Bear has a great eye!!
WOW you Bears really did great in those blow downs! 👏👏👏👏. I fell in love with that baby deer and all those little bunnies! All and all a great day after all that rain! 💦☂️💦☂️. Praying for your safety. Good night and God Bless. 🙏🥾🇺🇸😊🧗♀️🏕️

Good message at the beginning of the video! This is your and little bears hike, and no one else, you keep on keeping on! Love ❤ the baby dear, I wish I could have seen it, and all the other animals 😊 what a great hiking day, even with the obstacle curse! Lol 😂
Beautiful hike ladies! Loved the baby fawn as well. And, great job getting up, over, and around all the blowdowns.
Bravo to both of you - character builder for me would have been the trees!

Those blowdowns were scary so huge relief that you’re ok. Wonderful nature encounters today and I love your respectful attitude. I can almost imagine the joy of coming across trail magic like today’s. Love and hugs. R ❤️❤️
Omgosh!!!! Glad Little Bear’s fall off the log was a slow fall and she is ok but that was funny!!! I laughed out loud with you guys! That blow down was crazy!!! Thank God you were safe last night! 🙏🏼♥️

Straight line winds can be devastating. Had a massive blow-down experience like that hiking in Northern Minnesota. The fresh leaves tell you that it just happened. Glad you are safe.
😮the damage Mother Nature can do. Those blowdowns were massive. Thank God you were all safe from that storm. Very scary sight and challenging navigation. 🫣😳

Enjoy your rain pause...praying for you to have a successful hiking day...
The way the blowdowns were in all different directions makes me wonder if a tornado went through there. That’s what I’ve seen around where I live. Hurricanes blow the trees down in one direction; with tornados they go every which way. Glad everyone stayed safe!
Y’all are simply amazing and never fail to put a smile on my face! What a day that was…rain, sun, awesome trail magic, blowdowns, wildlife….that fawn was so precious! LB’s face is priceless when she spots critters 💜
These are the days when you are lucky that you have such a great tent.

Facts!! That was one piece of gear I wasn’t going to skimp on. It’s way too important.
Great seeing the fawn. And the turtle. You're seeing alot of wildlife. The one lesson I'm learning from your hike, is the importance of being flexible. Having plan A, planB, and plan C. Just keep on hiking the trail your way. As always, thanks fir great content.

Yes, flexibility and mindset are both important keys! 🙏🏼💙
Lil bear you made my old arms hurt doing that twisting thing with your arms. I have an 8 year old granddaughter Amelia Denton who is also very flexible. She's involved in dance classes.
Oh my goodness! All those blowdowns were just amazing. I was so afraid you were going to lose sight of the trail. What a blessing to have that wonderful Trail Magic. Just what you needed to get some extra calories. And the little fawn right by the trail was just magical. What a blessed day! And a non-stormy night's sleep for a change. G'nite Elle! ♥️
I believe you have the best guide possible ……… faith
Hopefully you can reap some benefits from all the scratches you picked up going through those blackberry brambles…they taste really good once they get ripe. Looks like you were much safer in the higher elevations(shorter trees) during that bad storm than in the valley…very scary. Priceless is the education LB is getting on this trail! Cheering you onward; you’re doing fantastic!
Hike your own hike! What an accomplishment for you both look how far you have already gone and look how far you will go!! Getting closer to Pennsylvania my home state. The trail goes through central Pennsylvania close to where my family lives.
Glad you got some of little Bear fall so fuuny glad she didnt get hurt she made getting up look so easy. Can't remember what her pack weight is? The fawn was adorable. Glad you have thought a head. Blow dowm were so many. Hoping you have nice weather for a whiile.
Love your hiking style!
Best -Laid Plans… keep hiking !
BIG RAIN!! RABBITS,DEER, SNAKES, AND TURTLES. TRAIL MAGIC NICE. PIZZA!!. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.😊
Wow a lot on that video. Massive blowdown’s, great trail magic, beautiful fawn and oh yeah that Poor Bunny 😢
The hardest part of a journey is having a plan and sitting on it until you get into a woulda coulda shoulda situation, but you’re doing it! Never a bad day, only an experience to learn from. Much kudos to you BOTH!

What I like about the trail magic angels is they always seem to pop up just as you need a boost prayers and blessing to them all
Such an amazing day in trail! The deer was waiting for mama to come back. ❤
Does LB have a plant identification app on her phone? I love how she stops for all the flowers. I do the same when hiking. I always "plan" on identifying them later and sometimes do but mostly I don't. LOL😂 Oh that baby deer sighting was AMAZING! such a unique experience. Was that a snapping turtle? Snapping turtles have a nasty bite, FYI.
I enjoy being in the woods when the mountain Laurel is in bloom.
Awesome video! You both are doing super awesome! Don’t blame you for not wanting to read “those “ comments, I get that! So you do your thing, and we can watch what you share with us!!! ❤
What a great day! All the wildlife. Real school, real life!!! Love following you!💗
Hike your own hike ladies! Cherish your goals and cherish your journey. You are doing great!!!! ❤. My daughter and I are leaving for our thru hike in Ireland today, so we would appreciate your prayers. We will continue to watch when we can. So, love and light to you from Ireland for the next 2 weeks from your sisters on another trail. ❤☘️🥾

MB, I just love your commentary on the trials that you and LB face on a daily bases. The fact that LB has a teaching classroom with every step you take is awesome. She could write a book when she is finished with all the things she has learned on the trail. One step at a time. Have a great rest of your journey.
Truly different exercise today, I’m guessing you will feel it tomorrow! Keep on keepin’ on. The fawn, the turtle, snake, eft, bun buns, bird nest, so much wildlife! Glad the blow downs only made your trail a bit of a challenge. ❤. Gail
great job
You both are seasoned hikers at this point and you know what matters and what works for you. The rest is white noise. It’s your hike and your adventure! Follow your heart and enjoy the process. God bless and safe hiking!

I think the whole country has had an over abundance of rain this year. I think we are all over the rain
Fresh pizza on trail is awesome trail magic. Heck of a storm with all the blowdowns, good job getting thru. several baby animals today. Stay safe.
Love the baby deer, absolutely adorable!
Good video with some bad hiking in the blows down, some rabbits, big black snake, and a baby deer, so let's keep on hiking 😊
Ignore the naysayers. Hike your own hike. I know you've heard that before. Do what the 2 of you want and need to do. Did you feel like you'd spent the day on a jungle gym after all those blowdowns? I congratulate both of you on your sense of direction. I'm afraid I would have been totally turned around after all those blowdowns and bushwhacking your way through. The deer was precious. Mama deer will often hide their babies while they go off and forage for food. I admire your attitude to not disturb the wildlife while at the same time enjoying them. A great day, even though you got a late start. So glad God protected you during those storms the night before. Ya'll take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Can’t believe you guys got that close to that fawn and she didn’t budge, she must have know you were not real Bears. Oops 😬 I spilled the beans!!
All the blow downs were crazy. The deer was so sweet. Pizza looked great. Safe travels.
Raindrops falling on my head.
The fawn was amazing thanks for sharing
I am following a couple other hikers as well as you two and without a doubt I like your attitude the best! Love your hike🩷
Hope all is well for you both
Well done on making the most distance that you can whilst staying protected from the overnight storm and rain. There's obviously a time schedule in your minds, which I fully understand that you don't want to share. Hopefully you get to where you want to be by whatever date you have in the plan. As you say, weather is not something you can change so you will have to work around whatever comes at you. Here in Scotland we have had very mixed weather recently, sometimes sunny and warm then changing to cool Northerly or North Easterly winds. My cycling and sea kayaking activities are all planned around the weather but I don't have a through hike time pressure. I can pick my days to go. You are both strong enough to push out good mileage when the conditions allow, so just keep on doing it. Remember to eat enough and keep hydrated.
Go with the flow
Great video, I am new here, I love your video!!!

In 2012 there was a bad storm when i was in Harper's ferry. I was luck enough to be in a hotel room and didn't hear a thing. I got out to the trail the next morning and there were so many blow downs. Made for an interesting day!
Ya’ll had a great mileage day considering what you had to climb through (and a late start)! ❤❤

Hey! Yeah, we heard that from quite a few people. That storm was the talk of the trail for a solid week. Everyone had their stories. Thankfully all were ok. 🙏🏼💙
❤️❤️👍👍🦌🐇🐈🌞
Just keep trekking forward! You’re doing great! Just go as far as you possibly can everyday, you’ll get there! Keep an eye out for Quadzilla, he is doing a budget AT hike (3rd time).
"The circle of life" On a trail right in our neighborhood, my older kid and I once found a fox. Its body was on the south side of the trail, and its head was on the north side. Another time, my younger kid and I were on a scout campout, and along the trail into the site was a freshly road-killed deer, with about 25 buzzards sitting in the trees around it. Walking back out two days later, the deer was reduced to a clean skeleton. I find this stuff just as fascinating as you do, if a little gross sometimes :) Interesting to see all those blowdowns in one spot. It makes me think some sort of mini-tornado might have touched down there. Good thing nobody was nearby! I imagine trail maintainers will get up there with chainsaws to clear the parts that are blocking the trail, but the rest will stay as 'nurse logs' -- another part of the circle of life!

I met a baby fawn on my AT journey in that exact field you walked through just after seeing your baby fawn at almost the exact same time of year!! I can't help but to wonder if you saw the baby of the fawn that I met!! 😀
Highlights: Fawn and Ellie’s “finger whiskers” at close out.
Sad that you two had to go through all those tree blow downs, that was just to many. And the cute little fall that happened to little Bear was cute and funny 😊😊😊
