❤ LITTLE BEAR IS GROWING UP QUICKLY

... Nice day on trail .. streams and rivers a scenic spots but also game trails for the wildlife ... to avoid interactions that you don't want through the night , it's recommended to camp at least 200 ft. From water sources ... a late night romp of chipmunks and squirrels can sound like a herd of wild animals when you are trying to sleep .... and the bugs,, mosquitoes can be extreme near water .... also the posibility of creek rising in heavy rains while you sleep and flooding your tent site ... ... "Well ,, that was boring " ...lol .. .. Got to listen to trail medic Little Bear ,, need to drink lots of water while using those bodies ,,, drink a sip here and there all day ,, all along the hike , prevents lots of issues .... 'they say' if you wait until you're thirsty ,, you're past body needs ... .. love hearing Little Bear let the thoughts roll as they come .. she's sharp and has wonderful wit ... Stay Safe and God Bless ...

Good morning, Mama Bear and Little Bear. That waterfall was awesome. I love running water. I liked the baby waterfall also. Ya'll did well today, hiking through the rain and mud. Yuck! Hang in there. This, too, shall pass. The cemetery was so peaceful. And really pretty. Big congrats on 400 miles. What an accomplishment. Always nice to have Ellie check in with us. I'm glad to hear prepper had such a good outcome, and that he's spreading awareness. Open wounds are no joke, and too many people don't take them seriously enough. I lost a colleague a few years ago to stepping on a coral at the beach. The doctors missed a piece of it that broke off in his foot, and he got sepsis and passed away a couple weeks later. Anyway, new sub here and really enjoying your updates! Little Bear is so impressive. A lot of adults hike, but so many kids these days camp out on their screens. Best of luck to you both and I look forward to seeing you reach Katahdin. Happy Mama's Day!

Funny you mentioned smelling like a day hiker. In a video last year by Gabi Cerra they referred to day hikers as "trail fresheners" and I thought it was funny but after a few days in the Adirondacks last year I got the experience first hand. Too funny!

I’m a photographer and thought I’d share a quick tip for shooting amazing photos with your iPhone. Put the camera in Live mode. Take the photo. Go into edit mode for the photo you just took and in the upper left, switch from Live to Long Exposure. Your water fall photos will have that soft beautiful streaky water. Oh, and Happy Mothers Day.

Pretty Waterfalls, and how very nice to sleep by the little river. Happy trails.

Please be careful camping near a small stream. They can grow into a river fast. I not say the one in your video would but I grew up in the mountains and we had a small stream behind our house. But sometimes when it rain it would flow like a river.

I can confirm this. I once almost got swept down the West Branch of the Peabody River in NH when it rose almost 5 feet overnight. When I woke up it was 6 inches below the bank. This was at Dolly Copp campground.

@@RobertSmith-km6gi The reason I brought it up was on US 27 south side of a little town in Tenn. called Rockwood. A Boy Scout Troop was camping by a creek called Whites Creek. That night a storm came up and the creek rose killing some of the Scouts. They put up a marker of what had happened.

The chef really puts some love into those breakfasts. ❤ Happy Mothers Day, and congratulations on 400 miles!!🎉🎉🎉 I loved the waterfalls very beautiful. It amazes me how loud water can be. Even a trickle in a stream can be loud sometimes. Must be that God wants you to know where a water supply is. You guys have inspired me to get out and hike. I used to hike a lot. But I need a hip replacement and walk with just one crutch to get around. I need to kinda lean so a cane doesn't work really well. Anyway, my daughter, grandson, and I went for an almost 2 mile hike on an area of the Ice Age Trail near our town. It took about 40 minutes or so, but I did it. My plan is to work up the miles comfortably, to be able to take my 6 grandsons, 8,9,10,11,12,15 on a 10 mile hike on the Ice age Trail. There's a nice campground around 5 miles to stop and camp. Other family members will have camp set up and bring food, so we're not carrying a bunch.Im excited. Great job, Bears!! You're doing great!❤ ✌️🫶

You're body can't efficiently cool in those conditions. It will deceptively dehydrate you for sure. Nice wrap up LB. Curious what you do with your bear bag when it's raining hard. Do the bags leak at all? Are you having to go out and fight to hang them up in a downpour? Love watching the two of you learn more every day. Thanks!

I met Prepper in Shenandoah National Park Last year. Super nice guy! I heard he was injured and had to get off the trail, but never heard the full story. Wow. I hope he's doing better and able to get back out soon!

Congrats on 400 miles! Sorry you had so much rain, but glad you could use the shelter for lunch break. The Isaac cemetery was interesting. So large, and looks like it's been used recently. Wonder how folks access it. The blue blaze to Jones Falls seemed to be worth the trip. Hope you were able to sleep off the headache, MB.. Mine used to be affected by weather & barometric pressure. Enjoyed LB opening and closing, and of course seeing Elle.

I've gotten way behind on your videos, so busy this past week. Now I can binge watch a bunch! A thought on Prepper - there's bacteria everywhere, all the time. They are opportunistic. If you get an infection from a blister you could have two problems - poor diet (check) and impaired immune response. In the feet, I'd go out on a limb and say if you're eating all this junk food and prior you ate a standard American diet, you're probably pre-diabetic if not T2 diabetic, and that leads to poor circulation in the legs. Add to that Vitamin D deficiency, most people nowadays are *severely* deficient, along with several pharmaceuticals that can impair immune response that many people take, and you get yourself weeks in the hospital with a life-threatening infection. Improve your diet. Avoid drugs if possible. Cut out the fake stuff, seed oils, GMO, glyphosate, grains, sugar and excessive carbohydrates, and all the junk food (that's very profitable for someone). Supplement Vitamin D3 and C. It's hard work nowadays to have a healthy immune system. But if one can hike 2k miles, one can do anything they set their mind to.
