I'm in the same boat as you are. I am a grower in Santa rosa as well. I think the June weather we had really put a damper on growth this year. I had about 4 20lb days, and then it fell right back to 10 lbs a day.

I am growing pumpkin for the first year in Slovenia and this year in July it rained 9 inches or 230 mm/m2 with very strong storms and it is supposed to rain in August. The last 3 days the pumpkin is growing 24 pounds a day

Do you get any rain? Your soil is so dry! How about a little shade?

We only get rain between September and May (Mediterranean climate). Soil is only dry about 1/4” on the surface. Moisture meter reads “moist” or “wet”. I do some overhead watering during the day too. I agree with the shade; might be an upgrade next year. However, the comparison with the third plant shows no heat sensitivity at all. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What is the size of your patch that is fenced in?
