I feel like as a server you aren’t treated like you have any opinions or insight. You’re always asked to give people a good experience, but to be asked to pick the meal because she trusts them to pick good stuff? Thats everything! I’m super he feels super rewarded seeing the video too

Waiters are also sometimes told to push certain menu items due to higher mark ups or the produce nearing expiration... getting to add a bunch of high priority items to his orders will make him look better upon management review

He sounds like he has been waiting for the day where he picks his customer's menu

There’s expensive and then there’s the restaurant knowing their worth. These looked like good size portions opposed to some 200$ tiny plate from a suit and tie restaurant

Both Lisa and the waiter got the assignment and really said “time for an A+”

"papas fritas" isn't a dish in Spain. The most similar thing I can think of are "patatas bravas" which are cubed fried potatoes with a sauce made with garlic, tomato and cayenne pepper (I think nothing else) and topped with a spoonful of mayo, but ofc this is none of it

This is actually something everyone should try, we had a delicious ice-cream on the menu and i loved to see the reaction when people tried my recommendation. Trust the staff who have tried every meal, they know what's best!

I feel like waiters have the best experience with the foods in the restaurant. So asking one to pick a meal for you is like saying "give me the best food here"😂. And yes, please make it a series

I'm Spanish and I really didn't expect this video, it's pretty lovely seeing one of my favorite youtubers try some food from my own country, even though I didn't recognize pretty much a lot of the plates. They looked too fancy, usually in "bars", that's were the tapas are served, they don't decorate that much.

This should be a series, for someone in your position it’s honestly such a great idea and it gives the restaurant a chance to showcase the best they have to offer for you

This meal had me doing a happy dance, LOVE tapas! Honestly, surprised this isn't already a series somewhere on YT! I love recommending food/drinks to people for different restaurants so I'm sure the servers at most places are ready and waiting to just pick for people. Only thing I'd beware of is if you notice that the server is picking the most expensive thing in every single category, especially for beverages.

Oh, I'd definitely love to see more videos like this! I actually used to do this, too, and have the waiter pick out my meal for me (if they wanted to and weren't too busy, of course) and honestly experienced a lot of really great food that I may or may not have overlooked for something else on the menu that day.

@@pablitozgz na. Lo de albóndigas siendo "spanish meatballs" eran una receta de albóndigas que se habran inventado. Pero si que hay sitios asi en españa. No será comida tradicional pero ese menú parece idéntico (excepto por el precio exótico) al de la esquina de mi barrio.
