Day of descent from the l'Illa refuge until reaching the town of Encamp, touring the Riu Madriu valley, a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO. In this valley there are several cabins and shelters available to spend the night, with a beautiful path that passes next to the Madriu river, of incredible beauty. I must be careful since during the journey there is a lot of ice and it is very easy to hit your ribs on the hard element. Once I cross the Coll de Jovell, passing through an elevated path with magnificent views, I begin the final descent to Encamp, passing through the itinerary of the fountains, the Engolasters lake...in Encamp I will get a hotel room to spend the night and I will prepare for the next stage, in which I will accumulate quite a bit of elevation gain.
