Day 1 gym - Worlds prep

First time back in the gym in over 8 weeks 🥵 from being sick to having a bum elbow, the time slipped away. Only 10 weeks until Worlds, time to get back on it😤

    You got this, your confidence will grow as you go! I race 51-55 and it is tough to juggle everything but you'll find a balance. Good luck!

    I’m 52, lowered carb, cut processed foods and sugars. 90 % of my daily pains went away, I’m hardly sore after workout and dropped 30lbs. Good luck my friend, I will be cheering you on!!!

    Do not eat less, eat more often with smaller portions. Get that metabolism up. Cut carbs and sugar, workout hard and the excess will drop off. I've done it, it works. Make your body work for you. You can do this! Sent you a message through messenger about the tennis elbow.

    I’m trying to cut out the 6 pack of redds every night. I think of i do that, that’ll help the weight come off😂🤘🏽

    @@kjromero8538 Past few years I was gaining weight. Last Dec I turned 80+ KG. That was the limit. The only thing I done since was cutting sugar. Lost a kilo every other week! But most of all, I start to notice how terrible sugar makes you feel. It's simply toxic. Don't drink pop / do drink water. Hate me now / thank me later. Take it from someone who's pro cyclist longer than you are alive (and who's familair with ignoring this advice - I'd admit). But you only have one body, and you will feel better if it's able to function properly. Success in the next few weeks.

    Tomorrow may suck, but you will get through it. It gets easier every day. Try starting at 54 years old. LOL I been working out in my home gym for 8 weeks now. But I'm not going to worlds, I'm just hoping to keep up with the local expert riders my age. LOL

    Have you checked out intermittent fasting? I have dropped 15 lbs since December with just fasting and working out a few times a week.

    I haven’t tried legit intermittent fasting. I’ve just been skipping breakfast and usually eat around 11. I think the big issue is drinking a 6 pack a night 😫 and I like the sugary stuff
