You're right, I've heard so many reactions to this song.. totally different take on a younger KZread star than to a real older working man.
Most powerful song I think I've heard in my 47 years on this planet 💯💯
It’s been hard lately for me mentally. Hard to get help and the times I need to talk or just want someone here for me is always the time no one is around. If they were around it’s still going to be hard to get everything out. Listening to this song always remind me of my dad. He had a lot going on back then and still got up and provide for me and my 5 siblings. Sometimes my mom just wouldn’t help him but talk down to him and then bad things happened back then. I show him this song and we had a deep talk. It’s just so hard idk how my dad got up everyday but that’s why I do. I get up everyday and work because my dad did and still does. If I ever have kids most likely I won’t but if I do I do anything for them. I want them to come to me with their problems I want to help. But also thank you for this reaction I know u were holding back a lot but still saw the pain

Hey, I am going to encourage you to pick up the digital course titled "The Quest for Authentic Manhood". written by Dr. Robert Lewis. I cam from a broken home, and my dad went insane due to war and my mom fled and divorced him to keep us safe. I was lost. At 34, was married headed for divorce, and Christ Saved me instructed me how to be a real man, and how to let go of my pain (not forget). Don't do life alone, know your purpose and your worth. Sounds like you have a noble dad who has modeled servant leadership. Check it out and have more good life giving conversations with your dad and teach what you learn. Manhood is a process not a birthright.
I gave up weed, alcohol, vape, abusing my gabapentin, kicked depression meds……gave my husband an ultimatum 2 Sunday’s ago to either step up as a father and husband or he can get to steppin’. My husband is a good man, wouldn’t take that higher paying position just so he can be with our son and me. So I pray for my husband every day, I pray he will sit on that pew at church with me and his son one day…..I pray my husband can stop smoking weed…..I’ve seen prayers work and know they will continue to work through faith that my 9yr old and I have in him. 🙏

I commented on your wife's post about this song. Man you are solid. Based upon your wife's statements on your character, work ethic, love and service to your family is high praise. I'm stoic because I have to be. I work 16 hour days and when I'm not working I am trying for my family. Never feels good enough. Brother, I am right there with you. This one hits that raw chord unlike any other.
I feel you... we all go through the struggle as Men
The reason this hits me so hard: I did my time in physical labor. I went from the Army to a Nuclear Powerplant. I got to spend time with my kids every day. But now I got a high paying job in tech(triples what I was making in the powerplant). So now I hear stuff like "You have it easy" "You don't have a 'real' job"... and pretend I shouldn't be struggling. I work from 7am - 6pm && 10pm - 5am. The 10pm-5am is Work from home, but its still all of my effort going into it to make sure my wife and kids never have to consider "is this thing we want to do going to break the bank?". I have to tell my kids "Daddy can't play right now, I'm in a meeting" to be told I dont sacrifice anything just because its not physical labor anymore...

The Generational Curse part gets me so much. It was rough growing up in my family/household but now as a Father everything I do I look back at my past and ensure I am making a change so my son does not have to go through what I did. My son is such a blessing to me and my wife and I don't want to screw that up. Best reaction video to this song and I am right here with you on everything you said. I feel you. I’m the sole provider for my family. Started off as a Paramedic. I couldn’t provide for my family. So I went to nursing school. Full time school plus clinical roatations, full time job, National Guard. Just so I could provide better. Not once did I get recognition by ANYONE for my accomplishments to give my family a better life. I got diagnosed with PTSD, and then got told all my families problems are because of me. So yeah, unconditional love is for women, children, and dogs.

Dax is a special dude. an amazing one at that I must say. he's able to bring out emotions in me with he's music
When I heard this song for the first time, it made me cry because I grew up not really knowing how a father and son is supposed to be I was raised by my grandparents and mother. My wife and son are teaching me so much about how a parent and really being me, because I worked my whole life. Enlisted out of high school gave my 4 years of active duty time and came home in 2013, then in 2016 I had my first son, it gave me a purpose, it gave my life meaning then my ex ripped him from me, and I almost ended it because got kicked out of my apartment, I felt like my world was gone forever being a homeless veteran but my best friend and my army brother told me to come and stay with him and he’d help me as much as he could fast forward to now I’m a reservist with a loving family and a truck driver position. That’s why that song seems so close to home for me. If you read this thank you for your time and thank you Dax for your encouraging words.
May the wind always be at your back, with the sun upon your face. And the cool nights breeze will carry you to dance with the stars. Cheers my brother, dont ever give up, and never forget your worth. The world needs men like us.

This song have me in silent tears. Especially the scene of the truck driver pulling over possibly to take his 10 hr. break on the service road. I speak specifically for all the O.T.R. father/husband (over the road) truck drivers when I say this. It's hard being gone for weeks at a time, driving/parking in unsafe conditions. Scared to inform loved ones of our daily journeys. Yet, missing our loved ones while we lay behind three walls we call a sleeper berth, wanting to be there with them. Sacrificing to secure things back home, while you are away from home.
This song makes me miss my Daddy so much. He was a manly man and the only real man I have ever known. I appreciate you Daddy and I have faith to see you in the resurrection for eternity

I think ive watched every reaction on youtube, i havent seen one man not break down, and its so god damn hard knowing we are like this...
This song is very emotional... There is no reason why you have to feel bad or have your CaveMan card revoked... This song is for sure hard hitting... especially for those that know what it's like or have been through the tough times... I struggle with the fighting getting out of bed to go to work every day... not because I don't want to work... I hate not working... I just hate the job, and the feeling of being stuck @ a job where you work your a** off to provide for the family, and feel like you are stuck in a dead end.... especially when you get told by that job that you are valuable part of the team..... I might be valuable... but I am not valued... but unfortunately I can't afford to leave and can't afford to take a hit in pay to go anywhere.... and they know it... But it is hard to try and explain that dead feeling to others... especially those who you love and want to be strong and be a provider and be a good man, husband and father too!! Every time I've heard this song, which has been quite a few times, and many more tonight.... I tear up and get choked up!! Amazing reaction CaveMan!!
