I have to say this was one of my favorite days so far living off grid, and I'm so glad we got to capture a lot of the moments, from baking sourdough with our new little starter, to sledding in the snow for hopefully the last time this April, and all of the snippets in between. If you enjoy these longer-form videos, please let us know in the comments because we'd love to keep making them in the future : ) PS, one of the shots in this video was shot on a different day, curious if anyone will notice which one!
Big love,
Lou, Dana, Max & Freja

Oh I was also going to say, my mum is a Montessori teacher and agree, it's amazing what babies and kids can do! Go max go for the fire making! Our little guy is almost 3 and since 1.5 he's loved his knife (there's a brand called Kiddikutter that makes great serated ones), and he helps cook dinners every night. Such great play for them!

So I went to the start of the van build right through the boat build and now back to shipping containers build. Looking forward to you're next videos! Hope all is well, I'm so inspired by everything you guys have done. I'm currently in the process of moving a tiny pull behind camper to my property in town to convert to off grid living 😊

I know what you mean about time passing fast Dana. Mine being 14 and 15 now! Todler age is such a wonderful period, I recal the wonder from your video here actually in a nice way, like it´s part of me and not lost on me. The excitement of new words popping out, I remember enjoying that time SOOO much. And just think of the days when he will be able to express himself in sentences of his own, - there is so much to look forward to. And his personality will reveal itself more and more in different ways. Even with the loss of aspects in connection and role as a mom to teenagers, it´s like a whole portal rich with information and initiations, really reorienting. But still so many memeories had together and it touched me to think of the priviledge it has been to and still is to see these souls become their own people ❣ I´m just now starting to get excited about making space to explore my own creativity more in different ways.

Bianca!! Literally have tears welling up from your comment. Thank you so much for sharing that. To enjoy these sweet days, but also how much there is to look forward to. Love how watching our video reminded you as well that that period is a part of you still, even as your kids have grown to teens. So sweet, thank you ❤ And so happy for you that you are reconnecting with creativity! That sounds so wonderfully exciting, too. Your comment made me so happy :)

Beautiful video. so cute watching Max grow up. It struck me that by talking about 'making films with him', then it opens up the whole possibility that some films are for family and some films are to share with the 'film watchers'/You Tube and that he will understand the whole thing about choosing to share/not share, so that as he gets older, he will feel empowered to make decisions himself about how he wants to be involved/what he is happy to share. I can relate so much to how you parent Max and it is very sweet. Isn't it lovely when they get to an age when you can really interact verbally like you are with Max. Gorgeous. Plus you get to have these wonderful films and so does he for the whole of this life to watch back. I love watching films of my son at this age - there is one particular one when he is trying on a froggy dressing up outfit and it is so so cute. Thanks for another lovely video. Sending you all good vibes, x
