I always thought Dawn Marie was the hottest WWE Diva. Still, with that said I respect how she's made it her mission to help out other wrestlers and that shouldn't be ignored. While others do drugs & turn to alcohol, Dawn Marie has been on a campaign to help out her peers. So there's definitely respect for that!

I appreciate what she is doing.

The majority of wrestlers especially the older workers don't have health insurance so when it come to fixing their in ring injuries the medical bills are huge, it's not so much of an issue with the younger wrestlers as WWE will pay medical expenses if you are under contract with them.

There is a copy of the cheque by Dr.Death Steve Williams that he endorsed on the site I saw it.

Did kamala lie? did blue meanie lie? did michael porter lie before he passed away? i know sam houston and him and his father never mentioned anything about dawn marie's help. baby doll vouched for them too. did any of them lie? did tammy sytch lie? there are people that did have involvement with her that mite be telling the truth against her. truth is that it all adds up not in her favor.

Well here is one supportive comment, judging from the replies here, this whole thing seems like a hit job on WR and Dawn Marie to me. Just go to the WR site and look at the financial report it's all their. Plus the video of Dawn speaking out about the issue, I mean really, when was the last time Paul Heyman did a video explaining where all the ECW wrestlers money he owed went?

Robert, I hope my comment wasn't misunderstood. Yes, Kamala was a great performer. When I was a kid and Kamala was in Mid-South (the ultimate kayfabe territory), I was scared to death of him! His match was always my favorite on the card, and he had great matches with some of the best ever, including Andre, Junkyard Dog, and Mr. Wrestling II. That doesn't change the fact, though, that he is known for playing the race card and for mismanaging his money.

She's said that the accounting for the "charity" is a matter of public record, when there's no forum whatsoever to view the accounting. At one time there might have been some numbers on their website ,but those can obviously be fudged to say whatever. Like most things, there's what the wrestlers say,what she says,and the truth that's probably somewhere in the middle. She probably started out with the best intentions. Life probably happened,or the temptation of money just sitting there. She either went on a shopping spree or snorted it

She always stated since the beginning many years ago that Wrestlers Rescue was 70% for treatments and help, and 30% to make more fundraising events.

An actual charity allows for 15 cents on the dollar for overhead and operating cost. If 85 cents on the dollar doesn't go towards what the money is being collected for, it's a business,and not a charity

I don't know if it's legit or not, but if it IS legit, then I kind of don't blame them for not wanting people who visit the video to immediately see 500 people saying it's a scam. Again, if it's not a scam, then all of that bad press is unfair and damaging. If it is, then yeah, they're being shady.

Kamala should of been a millionaire because he was a main event wrestler. That gimmick was over. I remember when Kamala debut, I remember the World Class wrestling, WWF days.

I think Dawn Marie is a lot more credible than Kamala. He has a reputation for playing the race card to complain about his payoffs and how he was treated in general. In Bruno Lauer's (Harvey Whippleman) book, he claimed that Kamala made great money but blew all of it and more while neglecting to pay his taxes. Still, I pray for Kamala and wish him the best in his recovery.

Actually if you read how WR started on their website, Dawn organized a small meet & greet/fundraiser with local wrestlers to raise money to help with her sister in laws medical bills and that's where she got the idea for WR. You've merely twisted the facts around.

Sorry, I ran out of characters in my other reply. I'm not even necessarily saying that Kamala is lying, but I think his view of the situation with Dawn Marie may be somewhat warped. I've seen interviews with Kamala when I knew that what he was saying was wrong, but I don't really doubt that he was telling the truth as he perceived it. As for Dawn Marie, I really don't know anything about her organization, so I can't comment on her or Wrestlers Rescue. I just hope that it can do some good.

Well, the comments on this video definitely show the intelligence and maturity level of most wrestling fans. These people are the reason why I am ashamed to admit that I watch wrestling and will not be associated with childish idiots like this. This is a serious fucking issue that deserves to be heard and respected on both sides. The truth needs to be found out here. Before the WCW/WWE wars,wrestlers often got paid less than their expenses for travel,rooms, lodging....they would make $500 a week,and have double that in travel costs. They were 1099'ed as independent contractors,had no trademarks or copyright to their image or likeness, received no royalties or merchandise money. Had no medical coverage,no paid sick days or vacation,no retirement. They were used up and thrown away. And to make matters worse,as being people in a bad position, with no money for litigation, you have people like this lady collecting money on their behalf without their knowledge,and keeping it so she can snort it or go shopping. And nobody does anything about it because nobody cares.

Robert - I don't know who Michael Porter is, so I can't really say what I think about his dealings with Dawn Marie. I certainly am not defending Dawn Marie as a saint, and I don't know much about her organization. Kamala just doesn't have a lot of credibility in my opinion.
