I agree but in the movie he wasn’t really cruel he gave people to give up there fears and serve him for an eternal life at sea or pass on, he looked pretty distraught after killing his kraken which to him was another thing he loved which was taken away, he gave jack a second chance of freedom and to be his shit together, and in my eyes seemed like he Tried to spare will turner the same fate and heart break near the end of the movie only actually getting truly heartless when comes and fucks shit up with his HEART in his hand about to stab it, and then even after everything she did he couldn’t stop loving her. Also you can’t he didn’t love her without his heart which is untrue because when jack or will turner in this case stabbed his heart his last words were calypso until he is finally resurrected in the 2017 film

I've finally realized something about this man. He cut out his heart after Calypso wasnt there, because his heart was broken and betrayed, so he couldnt take it anymore. He then made sure to bury it somewhere where he knew he would never go back which is land, so when it was brought upon his ship and he heard the melody, because his heart was so close to him, he began to feel emotions again hence him starting to cry which he realized that Beckett brought it upon him ship.

No I’d say he cut it out because of his guilt, and he finally had to see the repressed memory which was his dammed heart, so he just happen to feel the sadness come pouring back. So basically memory, probably not just his heart equalling his feelings. Thats my take though

Yes, but as someone pointed out, he realizes that he can produce a tear which means his heart is nearby, which he doesn`t want. It is indeed a quick transformation though.

He forgave Calypso, it was the most powerful thing he ever did. His dark side (ha ha. Ha ha!) still remained however

he becomes Angry since he cries over Calypso, and he refuse to admit to everybody (even himself) that he still loves her.

violatormelms: I think in the 6th movie since Davy Jones might come back, Will and Bootstrap (mostly Bootstrap) get fed up with Jones being bitter and angry so they try to get him and Calypso back together thus making Davy Jones happy again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And here's how I think their gonna do it: Will'll go to Calypso's house, give her a little guilt trip about not being there for Jones, and while that's happening Bootstrap is back with Jones asking him what would he rather do. Stay on the Dutchman and be miserable forever? Or get back with Calypso and be happy forever? Then Jones and Calypso are met face-to-face, Tia apologizes, and they get back together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was actually because his heart was on the ship, which made him feel again. The whole reason why he cut out his heart and hid it on the land was so he couldn't feel again after how broken he was.

Even this is only 50 seconds but I feel like this is my entire life

There are many moments throughout the second and third Pirates films where you want to either hate Jones or fear him (or both), but it's moments like these, when we get a glimpse of the broken man he truly is, that we feel sorry for him. Just look at his face at 0:14. Every time I see that face, I want to hug him and tell him he didn't deserve everything that happened to him. If only he had a chance of redemption.

Actually the heart was kept on Isla Cruces in order for Jones to be able to not feel the pain. This is made clear in PotC : At World's End : In an early scene, Jones is shown playing his organ; after a while he starts crying, then a little later he notices that he is crying. At that point he becomes furious, because the fact that he is crying tells him that the heart has been brought aboard the Dutchman against his wishes (by Cutler Beckett, who has just boarded) - "Get that infernal thing off my ship!".

notice the ship starts creaking as his anger grows

It’s 50 seconds long, there’s no dialogue and this is the most emotional gut punch in the whole movie. It’s like the first 10 minutes of up compressed into 1 minute

I've just realized that Davy Jones cried because the chest was getting closer to him, making him able to have feelings for Calypso again. This is why he is angry at the end, he knows the chest is onboard

I was in love with this girl for so long we finally declared our love together many years we spent together happy till one day she went away with her friend and her family her drink got spiked and u can kinda guess what happend she kept it to her self for months after it happend till one night we made love and she just burst into tears I thought I must of done something wrong but she explained to me what happend and we layed there for the rest of the night and she slept in my arms while I couldn't sleep as I couldn't bare the pain she's been through many days have gone by and we bump in to the guy who has put her through so much pain I couldn't keep my anger in so I did the unthinkable and put him in hospital and I got arrested and charged and spend 5 years inside and when I returned the love of my life left the town we was living in and I haven't seen her over 7 years now and she's moved on had a child with someone I'm happy for her but I feel like Davy Jones stuck in time sailing the seas for an eternity waiting to go shore to be with my love I can so relate to this guy my heart will all ways belong to her ♡

Your story touched my heart. I feel so sorry for you. I have been in a kind of a situation like you and after that happened i realised that i was not her boyfriend. I was her toy and you know what happens when you play to much with your toy? It will get bored and goes to the trash. In the next day you'll buy another one. Love gets you in a circle, until one day you get lucky and get married. The best advice i can give you is dont think about her and look forward. Seriously dont think about it will hurt you more than her

This kinda reminds me of.. well y’know me. It reminds me of the time of how I loved my friends. We all loved each other, cared for each other, we were happy together. Until they started cussing. They just do that now. It makes me feel as if I just lost my friends for just some dumb words. I feel as if they fell into the wrong track. The wrong group of friends. I miss my old friends. How we used to talk about video games and having sleepovers and seeing who can last the longest in FNAF 1. It makes me feel as if to take out my heart and bury it as well. Then it reminded me. Just like Davy Jones, it built up anger inside of me, then wanted to get rid of these stupid cusses. I may be derpy, may be happy, but always empty without the friends I used to have. It also reminded me of how they just talk perverted now. I miss them. If you think this is sad and you think of anything more sadder than that, you obviously don’t know how it feels... how to get tormented by some devilish emotion. I wanted to get rid of them, but... they are a image that is glued to my mind everyday. I miss them. They just talk about bad words and more. Cussing just ruined my friends and I. It’s.. sad. It makes me feel just like Davy, when they stand there, I think of this music and feel the sadness building up. If they broke their habit, then it would cure my depression.

i can fell you bro ... i ve been left by one of my close friend and by my best female friend ,this "close friend" decided to destroy me ...making me full of rage wrath and anger ... and she(the girl) broken my heart ...he forced her to forget me he said these words to her: if you love me you must delete alessio from your life... and she did it in the end ...for one year i ve dedicated myself to her ,i ve been always for her ,i helped her a lot of times and i did a lot of gifts never asking anything back...and in the end she left me ..i miss the people who they were but not the people who they are now .

I once had a great love with a girl, and we went through many great adventures in the time we were together. But, over time, she grew more distant, and I didn't know why. After she disappeared completely, I cried for hours, but soon after got with another, and she consolidated that my first ex was evil. Eventually, after that flame faded, I realized that my true love leaving me was my fault. I pushed her too far out of her comfort zone, and further by trying to stalk her. That may suck, but nothing is as hollowing as losing the one person who cared about you, the love of your life, even, because of your mistakes.

I had a thought, Jones was seeing his love for Calypso in a human way, but he forgot that she is a Goddess. She doesn't see Love the same way, He wanted her to be with him in person, but she is literally a goddess of the sea. In her way.
