8 minutes in the video, this is already pure gold ! Thank you so much !
Thank you so much. I was a bit shy about using fusion, but I finally gained the courage to truly learn it.
Hey, really helpful video comparing AE to Fusion. Really helped me understand. Looking forward to watching your other videos.
Great tutorial. I love working with node-based systems, so I'm excited to try this out.
I learn so much from each of your videos. Keep it up Ryan.
Thanks, Ryan. I just came across your page (I see that this was done over a year ago) and wanted to say thanks. Your explanation was direct and very helpful. I switched from Adobe products after using them for over 10 years (cost and computer bogging down) to DaVinci Resolve in 2018 and never regretted it. I'm pretty good at editing and coloring in Resolve but have stayed away from the Fusion page. I didn't like After Effects in Premiere Pro so I thought it would be too much. You made me consider learning it now. I may go over to your channel and see what else you have done. Again, thanks.
My understanding of nodes has been made easier by you, thanks mate.
Amazing, this is exactly what I needed. Great comparison showing standard stuff that almost every animator or editor has to use!

Man please keep these coming!
Nice video! FYI on Text+ nodes you can add effects like stroke or drop shadow using the node itself. In the inspector select shading and it is element 3 in the numbered list at the top. Remember: Every added node reduces performance. So the more you can leverage a single node without adding another node the better your system performance will be.
Thank you for explaining nodes. Its extremely helpful for new video editors

After DaVinci available for iPad this switch to fusion makes more sense! Great video
Perfect channel for me. I couldn't take the death hold ADOBE and their 'subscribe' to everything strategy. I dumped 100% of my adobe workflows and for video, moving to DaVinci - so super thanks!
You are such a good teacher 🙏 thanks for this concise little tut

I have to confess, even though I commented on this video 2 months ago, I never got around to actually finishing the full thing and it's been starting at me at the bottom of my watch later playlist that whole time. Finally got to it today and now I'm excited to play around in fusion, wish I got on this earlier aiya! The node system got me excited, gotta look for a good full fusion interface walkthrough now, you made it much less scary than it used to be. Whenever I'd accidentally click on the fusion tab I'd think "I'm not supposed to be here 😳". Now it's gonna be "what can I make 🤔". Reminds me of when I first learned after effects, so it's kinda nostalgic in a way! I also just want to say If BlackMagic ever goes downhill and I have to switch AGAIN, it's kinda beautiful to know that people will always find a way to adapt to new working environments. Thanks again for the video Ryan, your camera setup is really pleasing to look at too btw, fits the gradient theme of the vid really well. 👍

Excellent tutorial, thank you. 🙌
Having watched a few davinci tutorials this was by faaaar the most helpful. You comparing it to after effects (which I'm very familiar with) really helped make things click in my head. Thanks a ton! I have the adobe suit at my workplace but I want to not be so depended on them because I find Adobe's subscription model frankly terrible. So for my private at home use I want to get into Davinci.

But After Effects is better in many aspects. I can’t understand this hype about Fusion in recent time. Two main advantages of Fusion are: 1) It’s free, 2) Nodes. All other features are worse than in AE.
Thank you, I can now feed my family with the money I've saved from adobe by watching this video. Seriously though, you're saving people headaches! Also love ur accent bro it made the vid 10x better 😁

This is the best tutorial on YT which allows me to understand the basics of nodes and I made my first animation in Fusion 🤟 Thanks for that! Casey Faris tutorial is way too complicated and overloaded. Your way gives absolutely the minimum amount of required knowledge to begin with. By the way, I love your accent. Are you from the "Celtic" part of the UK?
