How many video tracks can you put on the timeline at once all on top of each other? I'm looking into making virtual choir videos and LumaFusion only allows 6 videos. I heard DVR on iPad Pro allows for more, but how many more?

No way to edit directly on ext ssd like lumafusion?

Yes you can. =) You can also have the collaborative mode enabled, therefore one person on a computer on the color page while the other on the Cut page on an iPad! =)

can you make soft subtitles? Maybe like formatted srt?

Well of course this looks awesome , pity BMD support isn’t, emailed them 3 times over the past 10 days and no response , disappointed. Lumafusion support however is superb ( and no J or L cuts or speed ramping, seriously…)

@@joseivanmartireyes4646 That’s not correct. At least as of this moment, current beta version updated yesterday, it runs on the 2018 11” iPad Pro. If it will continue to run when it’s public is anyone’s guess, but as of right now it runs. There’s a warning now that says some features will be missing from this iPad model due to memory limitations. Video processing is restricted to HD etc.

I have iPad Pro m1 11 it will be compatibility?

I don't have any 3rd party plugin, so I don't know yet.

As I was watching this video I recognize that you were trying add audio to a video track. In the Desktop version of resolve you are not able to do that either, in order for you to add audio you must add it on the audio track which would be below the video track. You can do just about everything on the CUT Page you just need to know where everything is at. The CUT pages is pretty sufficient after getting familiar with it. Just my opinion and experience.

I get it, I tried above since the cut page is a “copy” of how the timeline works on FCP, so was seeing it it would have brought that part of the “logic”. But then I leave the question, where are the audio tracks below since there’s nothing to scroll to..?

@@FelipeBaezFilms Did you try selecting an audio clip and drag it below the video track. You should be able to create an audio track when you drag audio below the video track. Let me know if this works

I’ll try as soon as it’s morning again, but the timeline that I was using already had 2 tracks of audio, they were playing but couldn’t get to them.

hi, u dont need to set a path map. just select import folder in the media pool and point to the folder in your iPad or on attached drive. then select open. also, for standalone audio, the audio only tracks are below the video. a video clip with embedded audio shows he audio in the clip. audio only clips can be dragged from the media pool to the bottom of the mini or the full timeline, or you can mark I/O in viewer and use the tools below the media pool to add at the playhead. finally, the project settings gear on the bottom right shows the project settings, and to the left of that the house shows the project manager.

Before recording I tried to import folders without mapping and it was a no go. I couldn’t even select a clip to import, only stills. Could be a bug of the current beta, but the only way I found to import a folder and its contents was to map it first.

Testing it again right now on a new project, indeed if the folder is in the internal storage or on a SMB mount, no need to map it first, but I’m having problems with external SSD. Adding audio works by dragging to the mini timeline, but doesn’t always work. When it works, it does only on the mini timeline. When trying to drag audio to the timeline itself (while empty), it fails and the media browser goes back to the Master bin, which is pretty annoying when you’re trying to add media that’s deep inside bins. Couldn’t make it work from the viewer.
