About Ahava Jerusalem
The website and the Social Media Channels are a Christian host for devotionals, sermons, and videos with a focus on Jesus Christ and His Word so that the Church may be built up.
MISSION: that Christ is formed in you (Gal 4:19) and that you may be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Ro 12:2) so that you may grow to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. (Eph 4:13)

Thank you for posting this video. I don't spend nearly as much time alone with the Lord as I should. I make excuses that I'm always with Him in the Spirit, and I feel like I often really am, but that doesn't compensate for not spending time with Him alone in His presence. I thank God that He's been so patient with me.

I live in a nursing home due to breaking my neck while drunk nearly seven years ago. It's a shame that that is what it took to get saved. I have nothing but time on my hands to spend with God but still don't pray enough. I spend a lot of time doing everything but pray. Please forgive me LORD for not spending enough time with You and help me to pray more and to love You more. Thank You for letting me find this message. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Satan tries hard to distract me and those distractions will be more intense as we get closer. I try to actively heel myself. Jesus has been training my focus like I train Zoie's.

Prayer is living in the Will of God. He who has neither the knowledge of God nor His holy & sovereign Will can indeed never hope to pray. And who but Christ alone has perfectly, fully and truly exemplified this to us. People on the other hand will at best cry out to God in sheer despair, usually as a last resort. They will find their cries answered and themselves delivered. For example Hagar. And yet like Hagar once delivered they will estrange themselves farther away from God. Irrevocably so!! So, the question really ought to be why is it so hard for self-professing 'Christians', or for anyone for that matter, to live in the Will of God? For the answer is provided by the Lord Himself. Refer for eg. Matt 26:41, "..........The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Learn more from Paul's own very vocal and explicit confession of the same in Rom 7:21-24, "So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of Death?" Praise God with that admission Paul hasn't actually left us in a lurch but having experienced God's deliverance, he continues to add: vs 25: "Thanks be to God - through Jesus Christ our Lord." And, how so? Refer for eg. Rom 8:26-27, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in all our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us, with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." So simple, is it not? Just as the Lord has always reassured, "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT." However, before one is fully and truly able to comprehend all above, one ought to most importantly understand and be able to acknowledge one's 'warped trinity' each one of us has inherited from our fallen first father, having been born of his accursed seed. In other words, just as the Word of God elaborates and teaches in Gen 5:3 for example, no longer bearing the image & likeness of God in which mankind were originally created but only bearing the image & likeness of our fallen first father! This is exactly what the Lord points out to when He states that even though our spirit is willing, our body is too weak to concur in deed. Thus exposing the irrefutable divisions within our own individual selves. The Blood of Christ has opened the Way for us to bring ourselves into complete unity, firstly within our own individual selves, so as to transcend into complete unity with God's household, that we are indeed and absolutely readied to come into complete and irrevocable unity with God - refer for eg. Jn 17:21-23. This is what it means to be made WHOLE. Churches have deluded the flock into a most deplorable sense of complacency by teaching and advocating otherwise. People have lost all sense of the need to grow in the likeness of God so as to be fully restored to His perfect Image and Likeness . Refer Eph 4:15: "Instead, speaking the Truth in Love, we will IN ALL THINGS GROW UP INTO HIM WHO IS THE HEAD, THAT IS CHRIST." This is the only way one may possibly offer themselves as the Perfect, Radiant Bride (meaning the redeemed of the Lord) without stain, blemish or wrinkle, but HOLY AND BLAMELESS IN EVERY WAY. Refer Eph 5:27. Not doing so is the reason even the most self-professing Christians out there sooner or later become utterly betrayed by their contradictory deeds. So, you see, returning to the subject of Prayerful Life: Learn and understand that a prayerful life is in fact living in the Holy & Sovereign Will of God. Such a life will most definitely bear testament to one's unwavering Fellowship with God at all times (eg. Jn 16:13) - offering oneself as living sacrifice perfectly pleasing unto Him (Rom 12:2) - lived in the perfect Tutelage of His Absolute, Infallible & Irrefutable Word at His feet alone (Jn 6:45, Jn 14:26, Matt 23:10), bringing forth lasting and abundant fruits of continual growth in His surpassing Holiness (Jn 15:5-8), persistent in His Holiness by one by one relinquishing all one's sinful ways (Jn 8:11, Rom 6:13, Rev 22:11b) and last but not the least, fully equipped by Him to triumph over all one's weaknesses and over all enemies of God whether fallen angels or fallen men and over this wicked & Godless world itself (Gen 3:15b, Jn 16:33, 2 Cor 10:4-5, Eph 6:13-18, Phil 4:13, Lk 21:36..). God be with you and bless all those who have humbled themselves to receive of this faithful ministry.

Nope. You need discipline yourself to do so. To place this on God is not the right attitude. We need to sacrifice time from social media, entertainment, all things that deliberately take time and effort away from God. I worked nights and it was tough because I was on call during breaks. Changed jobs and now I spend my working time alone. I listen to sermons, audio Bible and sometimes, just being in silence waiting on His voice. It takes discipline.

@@justinchamberlain3443 I had that discipline in my younger years of being a Christian. Getting married, two years later having a family, mortgage to pay, I had so much to do. As the kids grew and were able to take care of themselves for much of their day, I forgot God and my duty to pray to Him. Worse is I lost my communion. I "gave up some maturity" to hang around with Christian babes. I began to backslide because there was no challenges to be better. I had to walk away from that church and small groups. Even changing to an "older" group proved nothing. God was convenient to them. I changed my job and I get a good five hours of alone time while working. My focus has changed. I spend less time on social media and listening to sermons from Ravenhill, Tozer, Paris Reidhead and Paul Washer challenges me to go deeper. I grow tired of "doing church" and "going through the motions". God is too much for me not to get bored to stop chasing Him. I want more and the only way to do so is stop blaming God for our attitude not to sacrifice what we love on earth for eternity. I am challenging God for many promises so I may glorify Him to fulfill those promises.

Amen. We are in a terrible position when it comes to the Lord. If we're not seeking his face and, his will. If we're not giving him alone time in prayer daily, reading our Bibles and, praying for others.. Fasting when led to and, loving him before anything or anyone else in the world.. Family or, whatever it is, anything that puts something before our Savior, hurts him. It grieves the Holy Spirit. We serve an all-consuming, powerful, faithful and, jealous God. He will not take second best. Christ comes first!!! Jesus help me not to be the person that I'm talking about that's doing the wrong and, not seeking you. Change me and make me new. I pray that you would give me the desire to do the things that you've asked me to do that you've asked me to do and, take my will out of the way so, that you are well may be done. All I want to do is serve you and help others and, it seems let the more I try, the harder it becomes. I love you. And, I pray that you would help me. In Jesus name, amen and, Amen.

@@louisdohrer489 What gets me is we ask for God to change us and if we have the Holy Spirit within us, it becomes our responsibility to change. We have the ability, we just don't want to do the work. Examine ourselves in faith... Humble ourselves Cleanse our hands and purify our hearts. Rid ourselves of spiritual and physical filth. Draw near to God. Fear of the Lord within us, as He is a consuming fire. The responsibility is ours since we have the weapons needed to fulfill that duty.

I hate that I thought of prayer like that, but this video helped so much. I read my Bible for around an hour a day and am moved to many tears most days, and I praise God through the day, but concentrating on topics to talk to him about ... I really thought it wouldn't make a difference. What a lack of faith. What an insult to him. NOW I can see that reading his word is getting to know him, but PRAYING is spending time with him. Reading more does not make up for lack of prayer. So grateful for this video

I found it hard to pray even for 5 minutes until I learnt recently that it is the Holy Spirit who teach & guide us to pray. I say the Lord's prayer first. Then I thank God 3 in 1, the Father for sending Jesus, Jesus for dying for me and the HS for teaching me. I then pray in tongues and once I feel His presence come upon me, I will automatically stop and wait in quietness & reverance. Different things can happen after a while, I will praise Him further, a song may play over and over in my mind, ppl with needs will spring up into my mind etc. I just go with the flow. After about 45 m (easily), I pray for my family and myself. Before I know it, it is about an hour. I am so grateful to ppl who point out I need the HS' help. Thank you, dear Holy Spirit ❤

Dear Rosa and Anne, God has answered your prayers. Read the following ministry of His Word which I as a faithful servant of God have been faithful to bring to you at His behest: Prayer is living in the Will of God. This is exactly what the Lord point out to when He states that even though our spirit is willing, our body is too weak to concur in deed. Not doing so is the reason even the most self-professing Christian out there sooner or later becomes utterly betrayed by their contradictory deeds. So, you see, returning to the subject of Prayerful Life: Learn and understand that a prayerful life is in fact living in the Holy & Sovereign Will of God. Such a life will most definitely bear testament to one's unwavering Fellowship with God at all times (eg. Jn 16:13) - offering oneself as living sacrifice perfectly pleasing unto Him (Rom 12:2) - lived in the perfect Tutelage of His Absolute, Infallible & Irrefutable Word at His feet alone (Jn 6:45, Jn 14:26, Matt 23:10), bringing forth lasting and abundant fruits of continual growth in His surpassing Holiness (Jn 15:5-8), persistent in His Holiness by one by one relinquishing all one's sinful ways (Jn 8:11, Rom 6:13, Rev 22:11b) and last but not the least, fully equipped by Him to triumph over all one's weaknesses and over all enemies of God whether fallen angels or fallen men and over this wicked & Godless world itself (Gen 3:15b, Jn 16:33, 2 Cor 10:4-5, Eph 6:13-18, Phil 4:13..). God be with you and bless all those who have humbled themselves to receive of this faithful ministry.

Thanku Lord Jesus for sending us this wonderful preacher and teacher. Great message and I needed it. So much love for David Wilkerson 💞🕊️ I actually came under conviction listening to him 3 yrs ago and fell before God and in repentance and tears I was born again by The Holy Spirit of God. He has been the Light of my life that is a lamp to my feet. I think of Jesus and thank him and talk to him all day. And read the King James Bible in a year and it was such an amazing time in my life and such a change. When I think of the scripture of God imputing righteousness to us...I thank Him for that so much becs we all need it. He makes us righteous and we get a new heart and He changes us. I love The Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart.

Pray without ceasing. To me that means practice his presence at all times and thereby ever praying as you do that. Be mindful of his Spirit and you know he's as close as the mention of his name whether under your breath or spoken out loud. He knows your thoughts when you are praying. He's an ever present help in time of need. You don't have to have a need also to pray.

@Debi Hester Pray without ceasing is the most quality one can get because it is a testament to the abiding Fellowship of God in one's life. Numbers only suggest ritualistic, like the Muslims for instance who brag about 'praying' 5 times when the fact is that one can't even hope to enter the holy Presence of God without the sanctifying Blood of Christ.
