Mr. Tolk, this is the music I imagine is being played in Heaven. I can’t even describe in words how beautiful it is. We played this song at my mother’s memorial service while we showed a slide show of photos of her and I can finally listen to this song without crying. I am in awe every time I hear it.

Hi, David. I wanted to take a moment to share a story with you about what this song means to me. Eight years ago, I was in one of the darkest periods of my life. Working an awful job that I hated, in a very toxic relationship, but also in some ways a very good part of my life. I was out on my own in a new city for the first time, and while I've never had a job that stressed me out more, I made a lot of great friends there. The job was at a movie theater, where they had a movie soundtrack station playing in the lobby all day. Most songs I knew or recognized, but there was one that I didn't. It didn't come on very often, compared to music from Harry Potter or Requiem for a Dream, but somehow it was always when I needed it the most. When I was feeling extra useless, extra unwanted, completely burnt out, this song would come on. I made a couple attempts to find it using Shazam, to no avail, and decided to get a recording of it on my phone to try and find later. That recording is the only video on my page, the last 10ish seconds of the song, filmed just after I sprinted to the bathroom to get my phone as close to the speaker as possible. I was never able to get a better recording, because that was the last time that I ever heard it. Over the years, I tried desperately to find that song. I skipped through soundtrack playlists, instrumental piano and violin playlists, I posted the video on numerous forums and a couple reddit threads, all to no avail. I was sitting in the car with my partner last night, telling her about what I recently discovered was manic disorder, and how it felt like I was always chasing a feeling that I would never be able to grasp. And I told her about this song, how I'd been trying to find it ever since, and how it epitomized that feeling for me. She tried finding it using Siri while I played the video on my phone, and got nothing. I told her then that I was never going to find it. I got home last night and opened my laptop to that video, to try and glean as much emotion as I could from that short, awful quality video, and decided to give it one more shot on my phone. I pulled up Google assistant and asked what the song was, and it answered almost immediately. After eight long years, I finally found it. This song has impacted me in ways that I will never be able to put into words, and finding it after all this time feels like coming home to a place I never thought I'd see again. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but... I can tell you with absolute certainty that if nothing else, you'll never have to wonder if your music has made a difference in anyone's life, because it made a difference in mine.
