I am so excited for you to hear my brand new single “Heaven’s Light” which is now available for streaming and download everywhere including Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, KZread Music, and www.davidtolk.com.
Whenever I see beautiful warm rays of light breaking through a cloudy sky, it makes me feel like I am witnessing the peaceful loving light of heaven shining down on this world. However, my new song “Heaven’s Light” was inspired by the light of heaven not that I have witnessed in the skies, but that I have witnessed through the amazing life of my mother.
I believe that I have witnessed heaven’s light through the remarkable life and personality of my wonderful mother, Marilyn Tolk. My mother, a concert pianist and graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, has had such a profound impact upon my endeavors as a composer and musician. From a very young age, she taught me to love and revere the music of the great classical composers. I would not have been able to compose the music I have released over the years without the amazing musical influence of my mother. That being said, my mother’s greatest influence has been the result of what I believe to be heaven’s light emanating from her countenance. My mother’s life has been devoted to selflessly using her remarkable talents to bless the lives of everyone around her. Many people have had the experience of being around an individual who truly exudes goodness, kindness, and love. I have been fortunate to be blessed with such a person as my own mother. “Heaven’s Light” is dedicated to my wonderful, talented, loving mother. I am so inspired by her example of always seeing the best in every person and situation. I would not be the person that I am without her amazing influence and example.
“Heaven’s Light” features the cello artistry of Nicole Pinnell and my daughter Mackenzie Tolk’s heavenly vocals. It is my hope that you will feel peace, love, and a connection with heaven as you listen to “Heaven’s Light.”

David I'm a fan of you in Iran. You're American and I'm Iranian. Our states aren't a friend for each other, but people can be kind together and music is a perfect way to communicate. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard!! My uncle Johnny committed suicide in November 🥺 He was a musician, music composer, artist, wood worker. He developed tinnitus in his ears that was so painful he could no longer play or listen to music!!! Music was his life. 💔 My father showed me this song a week after he passed and said maybe we can play this at memorial. Within 20 seconds I was bawling my eyes out. This song made me feel like my Uncle was close!!!!! I used this song to help me with my grief. Sometimes listening to it 10 or more times in a day and just crying! We played this at the memorial as the opening and closing song! When I want to feel close to my Uncle I play this. Thank you for making this gorgeous and heartfelt song!😇

Heaven's Light suddenly played on Pandora today while I sat quietly with my eyes closed reflecting about my parents who have both passed. I had literally just concluded the final steps of their Estate after handling their affairs for the past 10 years and I was in a moment of grief. Your beautiful song brought comfort to me and reminded me that my parents are together again. Life goes on. Thank you for creating and sharing this amazing song.

Lost my Da and Mom within a month of each other. I grieve but I know that they now are in Heavens Light! That keeps me going. May God Bless You ❤️🙏
David, this song came out on KZread within the hour my mom passed. This song helps me feel close to her. Thank you for helping bring the spirit into our grieving process. We love her and this music helps us touch heaven. We thank you with all our hearts.

Thank you for this song, I am recovering from cancer. And the morning I went in for surgery, thoughts from all directions flooded my mind. And being I was able to bring my phone into the operating room with me. Your song Heavens Light played on Pandora until I was put under. And when I was able to sit up on my bed and play my Pandora This song was the first song played. And brought so much comfort in what I had been through. Now 5 months since my surgery, everytime I sit and paint on canvas and listen to my Pandora your song is either the very first song played. And each time I have to pause and listen while giving thanks for my blessings of still being here. ❤ Thank you Mr. David, I look forward to purchasing your albums to listen while I'm driving.
David, you completely shaped my childhood. I remember driving home from my grandmas house when I was 4 or 5. And my dad would put on some of your songs to help us fall asleep. I wish you the best.

This song is indeed what I think heaven must feel like...beautiful !!!! oh and by the way your song "Pray" is my favorite!!! Unfortunately you have comments disabled under it. I wanted to request if you can make it at least 10min long ahahha i love it so much I mean you can be generous and make it 1hr 2hrs 3hrs long it's all good with me.
