Taking a break to, "remind someone of the rules"? Ugh. Patrick is like a High School principal who is suddenly plopped down in front of a mic and allowed to talk to people far more intelligent and talented than he is.

Never watched the Dan Patrick show before this and after watching this I have to say that I hope I never accidentally do ever again. David Spade was fun though.

What's with the host?

David Spade is literally one of the funniest conversationalists of all time. This show sucks, and Dan Patrick completely mishandled the interview.

It takes a class act to avoid kicking a host like him in the twig and berries. And twig is being generous.

Heaven forbid a comedian would do the talk show rounds while promoting something. Dude seemed instantly butt hurt David had done Stern.

David looks so cute in this interview...Oh and the host is truly awful to lol

Dan needs to let the guest talk and be funny. I can’t stand hosts that try to make interviews about them instead of the guest. Larry King does that...constantly interrupts...constant shots of them reacting to what the guest says

What is wrong with this interviewer? Seriously, I am pleasantly surprised that David was able to keep his cool and didn't storm off the set. He treated Spade badly. It felt like he was jealous of Spade or something? Or is he just like that with all his guests, because I really want to see it when Seinfeld deconstructed his joke--see this guy get a taste of his own medicine. How rude!

In my limited experience doing shows where Robin Williams was also on the lineup, he wasn't always on. Hung out with him a bit backstage at a show in Marin and another at UCB in Hollywood and he was really kind, quiet, took an interest in talking to a no-name like me. Same with Gilber Godfried. Very quiet gentle. Almost like they were storing their energy for the stage.

What does Dan Patrick want? Comedians that are good don't tell jokes they tell stories that are funny. I thought David Spade was hilarious. I would imagine Dan Patrick likes garbage like morning zoo or wacky unfunny morning radio show bits that suck the life out of people.
