Westgate owner for years. Maintenance fees are extremely high. Starting to utilize my interval international account, Since I started watching your videos. I just want to Thank you for all your tips. In the future can you make more videos about Interval International usage for platinum members.

While the fees may be high at Westgate, they can't be as high as our fees at the Marriott resorts we own at. Imagin close to $2000 for a two bedroom in Orlando! Not sure if you have seen these already, but I do have a number of videos about Interval International on the channel. Went to a presentation at an Orlando one today. It was AWFUL. The sales person was horrible and my wife and I couldn't believe how bad this person was at selling. Then he stated he has done the job for 20 years. This guy couldn't sell ice in antarctic.

The only time I stayed at one of his timeshares is for the free military weekend and no presentation to stay at this time. It is a great fun weekend. But I would never buy a time share just like I would never live somewhere with a HOA.

We love Westgate!

We’ve stayed at Westgate resorts a few times. Sleazy and relentless sales teams that will lie, threaten and attempt to intimidate you into a sales presentation. Resort quality has always been decent but not top tier. We learned fast to always exchange into a 2 bedroom unit. Anytime we’ve exchanged into a 1 bedroom unit we’ve received the smallest version of their 1 bedrooms, including what amounted to a studio unit with a door they called a 1 bedroom.

Do you ever go to the owner review meetings that they offer you when checking in? ~$100 gift card for an abbreviated presentation to be offered more timeshare?

Is this something they offer at Westgate? If so, we've never been to a Westgate yet, so we haven't done them. We do plenty of full presentations at other properties. Thanks for watching!

@@DestinationTimeshare No not Westgate. Stayed at a Bluegreen this past weekend and they offered an owner update meeting for a $100 reward card. They basically just wanted to sell more points. Lots of scare tactics of what will happen when Hilton takes over. Haha

Okay. Kinda sounds like a regular presentation. How long was it? We have done a lot of these. They are usually filled with lots of lies and misrepresentations. I suspect that buying Bluegreen now will not help with anything to do with the HGV Max integration. They will set some date in the future for which purchases after that date will also come with HGV Max.

@@DestinationTimeshare Probably 75 minutes total. My wife is an owner (she is on the deed of her parents) so it wasn't a full presentation where we toured the model rooms.

@@RoastBeefSandwich Okay, got it. That is kind of the norm for existing owners. No need to show you something you have already seen. They never take us to look at any of the model units on our presentations. Usually a presentation is max 90 minutes.

I've done 1 Westgate presentation in Las Vegas. At the time, they were having a big Elvis exhibit, showroom, and gift shop. I was told that if I bought a $15K timeshare, I could easily make 10X within a year or two with all the Elvis hype. Probably the slimiest presentation I've ever been to, 4 hours. Ironically enough, I still worked retail on the weekends, a company that was acquired by a new predatory corporation that also leased this space from Westgate and the Elvis estate. I had coworkers who helped set it all up. Everything was a scam, as the CEO sold all his overstock junk from his primary corporation into this throwaway, sending it into quick bankruptcy. The Elvis exhibit got locked down, and turned into a three-way legal dispute with Westgate and Priscilla. Within 6 months, the unscathed CEO had the cash license Prince merchandise. So that's why Westgate timeshares in Las Vegas didn't 10X, lol.

So if the Elvis exhibit had lived on, everyone would be clamoring to stay at the Westgate? LOL Somehow that is rather doubtful. The stuff that salespeople come up with sometimes is true gold. Thanks for watching!

Westgate Resorts have always been known to have the best training in the industry for employees. They train their sales and marketing teams to be relentless, and that isn’t the best experience for owners and guests.

I love Westgate

Westgate resorts are meh but they used to be pet friendly. Their TS tours are horrible. They keep you there for 4 hours insulting you if you don't sign. Never again. I was just in Orlando and Universal Studios has their kiosks all over their resort and their hawkers are as aggressive as ever trying to get you to sign up for the tour while you are trying to enjoy your vacation. The kiosk looks like the DVC huts but with the Westgate logo. I'm shocked that Universal would partner with such a sleezy company. Says a lot about them.
