This was David's last Homecoming video as a member of the Vocal Band in 2016. The next spring 2017 David left the Vocal Band to go solo. He has done so many outstanding projects and musicals since then. I don't think the Vocal Band will ever be the same without David.

I just recently met Guy Penrod of this band. I sold him a new bed at my job. He and his wife were such lovely people.

Mark seems to deal with his MS really well. He never complains about it and one wouldn't know he was afflicted with it.

I love this song but cry every time I listen to it knowing David was leaving the GVB. When listening, I hear Hawaiian, but going the "cowboy" direction, I can picture in my mind, Roy Rogers and The Sons of the Pioneers singing it. Thanks, again, for a wonderful reaction to David.

I loved this song! It’s kind of an old type of music, but David and GVB nailed it! I believe David can sing just about anything, any type of music, he’s just so, so talented, so brilliant in his music. Hopefully I will be able to see him in person someday! This was great! I have always loved this song. We grew up with it. I am 66 lol. How is your back Lyle? Better I hope. I am pretty much an invalid from back and neck problems. I would like to think I could deal with numerous autoimmune disorders w/out the back issue. I had neck surgery years ago. I love your reactions. I will be praying for you and all your followers. Esp fires. Here in NM we get the haze from them.

Darrell Allen Love David Phelps singing, I've been A follower of David with the Gathers for years. I Really enjoy your reaction to David Phelps singing. He has a way of being the connection we need to feel God's presence through his Anointed voice. I wanted to request another dynamic singer from the Gathers. His name is Jason Crabb. If your not familiar with him, please pull him up the song called The Midnight Cry or Daystar. I believe you will appreciate his singing and he and David Phelps sing together on other songs. Please keep Northern California in your prayers right now as these 🔥 fires are still burning and destroying towns I am so sad to report that late Thursday night the winds shifted and burned Sierra Bible Camp to the ground. 67 years ago my parents helped to build camp and my dad did a lot of the maintenance then my mom decided to be the head cook and made 3 family style meals a day for around 300 campers and staff for more than 10 years. 3 generations of my family attended camp so it was a Beary important part of our lives Please pray for the firefighters as the have been battling this fire since July 14th and its still out of control

I try to make the lives, but fighting a newly found heart condition. Aftermath of Covid from January that went undiagnosed so caused damage. Trying hard to recover. That's why these songs are so special to me. Thanks again.
