Yes I am not surprised. He really has taken care of his voice and knows how to produce a large sound without damaging his instrument. Proper training and technique certainly helps.

Please understand: I am NOT and never would object to secular music, but from the first time I heard him sing in mid-June, I KNOW God has "Chosen" David Phelps to bless, encourage and strengthen Humanity in general, and Christians specifically, with his spectacular voice because of the supernatural "anointing" (i.e. Goose-bumps that touch the soul!) while David sings spiritual songs! --- From my perspective, it's as if our God Himself is pouring out His Love, Faith and Encouragement to His people through the GIFT He touched David's voice with! --- Would you agree that right now (and for whatever happens in the future!) this terrified World desperately needs the "Presence" of His Spirit, unmistakably projected through David's anointed voice as he sings to glorify God?

There is not another singer in the world that can do this like David....the best male tenor on the planet.

Lol… Whenever I talk about David’s ability, I always say that his vibrato is bull’s-eye on the tone and it does not fly to the sharp or dip to the flat… As you said “it just is” and I always use this little emoticon to describe what I’m talking about- 🎯
