I thought Chelsea handled it pretty well. It was Hilary that derailed David's story, but Chelsea had the grace to bring allow him to finish it

glad the writer's strike is over, but hopefully the ongoing SAG strike doesn't throw things off too heavily - although with the way things are going, it'll hopefully be resolved sooner rather than later

His parents probably talked a lot about things they read in the newspaper, in front of him, and wrote letters to the editor and talked about the letters they wrote. If that's the kind of dinner table conversation he was around then I find it easy enough to believe he would ask to write a letter to the editor too when something happened that to him seemed like news. When you're little you want to do whatever your parents do. And they probably encouraged him, thinking it would be educational or finding it cute.
