But I do..I raised HYPER-CAT TWIN SONS...it was like 2 little DLR's running around, jumping off everything, climbing up everything..MOVING...MOVING...MOVING...oh yeah...we had Dave's monkey hour...TIMES 2!!......I've lived the drama & survived it!! I GET YOU DAVE!!!

Dave is so impressed with himself and constantly making himself laugh, but somehow he is still fascinating and totally likable. I can't think of anybody else who comes close to Dave when it comes to living life. I would do anything to be that happy all the time. He is a true American treasure. Having EMT on your resume BEHIND lead singer of Van Halen is simply the baddest shit ever. Fucking legend.

Genius. …and who else can pull off a Beach Boys shirt 60 years later? Hey, that’s John Jorgensen on Mandolin. DLR knows talent across the board.

I remember a radio interview David did in the 80’s where a girl called in and asked him how he kept his voice from going out since he was always screaming? His answer was, in his grumbly voice, “I do tongue pushups!”. I laughed for five minutes straight. It still make me giggle when I think about it.

Dave and Eddie were like lightning in a bottle. The Van Halen vibe was always "hey we're having an epic party and you're invited!" Dave led the parade and it worked because they kept their sense of humor. Dave created "Diamond Dave", a larger-than-life rock n roll star persona and it has served him well. There's a lot of brains behind his bluster. It's easy to be critical decades later but who do we have today that is as compelling? Would Van Halen have succeeded without Dave? I'm not so sure.

  • @xdreampcs8554

Former VH manager Noel Monk said without Dave, Eddie and Alex were content to play small gigs. Dave was always pushing them to be more active on stage, play bigger shows, and was driven to be successful. Eddie's massive talent was undeniable but without Dave's vision VH as we know it would not have happened. Even Sammy said when he joined it was quite obvious Dave was in charge.

This man looks like the vision of health. Usually Rockstars from the era he started becoming noticed and the group that he's been in and around they come out looking like they've been through a battle for years their hair is long and string greasy grey what's left of it and some wirely unkempt. Bodies run down with no muscle tones for living years on drugs and drink in. Glassy eyed from smoking too much weed and still trying to at ages of 56 or older. Half their brains are fried from years of drugging and smoking which Studies by Neuro Specialist and scientists shows there is a high chance of getting a Alzheimer's or dementia or both. Dave was always smart enough to stay on health and fitness during his days with Van Halen. Apparently he still looks healthy his eyes is clear and he still look toned even though hair is thining it looks healthy because his hair loss is from testosterone from a healthy male as you get older you're more masculine and therefore males loses hair natural in a healthy way. He speaks with clarity and makes Smart jokes this man look like he could be 45 to 48 yet I know he's over the age of 63. You go Dave you make heading to the senior years look like late teenager's planning the age to settle down would be in the 30s.

99% of the time Dave dominates an interview. Craig gave him a run for his money that night - I think 'old Diamond Dave met his match for once. Craig got a few words in edgewise.

That banjo player NAILED the keyboard solo. lol Find us another front man walking the planet that has the cahones to take a song they originally weren't really fond of and turn it on it's head so much that people go what the h@!! was that and that was one of the coolest things I've ever seen at the same time. If the town he grew up in has any wisdom at all, they'll erect a 20' statue of Diamond Dave at the entrance to the city. Now, to only decide which pose.... Before Pasadena beats 'em to it.

Any one of those musicians could blow the grey hair off any of the old 80's VH knock-off bands, with near-zero effort. Bluegrass has the best instrumentalists in music.
