His previous two albums both went double platinum so definitely not as commercially successful, but Dave was still a huge star and draw in 91, but this was the beginning of the end for him truthfully, shame because this is actually my favorite album from him over both eat em and smile and skyscraper a very close second

I saw Dave on his little, ain’t enough tour, extreme we’re opening and Cinderella was co-headlining extreme and Cinderella were really good. Glad I was fans of both of them because if I had paid that money just to see David Lee Roth I would’ve been pissed. Time had passed him by and his schtick was was old. The band pretty much just stayed in one spot and played their instruments while David Lee Roth did his song and dance. Problem is everybody had seen it already.

Hey! According to this video there is only about a year until Dave retires! The impression that I get is that each of his videos is like a 4 or 5 min. look into Dave’s day... the rest of the 24 hours is exactly like the videos. And I think if a ‘normal’ person tried to spend 5 minutes in Dave’s world they’d probably explode. Thank goodness we have Dave to be that gigantic character for us all.

The sad part is that he would have been this good in '96, the year the Van Halen reunion SHOULD have taken place. It would have been off the freakin hook.

Loved the song when it came out, and it is always great to hear it. I dont think DLR ever got his due for his solo work. This song, along with a whole host of others really are genius.
I was in high school when Dave and the VH brothers parted ways...I teach now and I try and explain (to my students) much of the music then just had such joy and radiated life....as Dave would say: some people throw a party..I AM the party

I saw Dave on his little, ain’t enough tour, extreme we’re opening and Cinderella was co-headlining extreme and Cinderella were really good. Glad I was fans of both of them because if I had paid that money just to see David Lee Roth I would’ve been pissed. Time had passed him by and his schtick was was old. The band pretty much just stayed in one spot and played their instruments while David Lee Roth did his song and dance. Problem is everybody had seen it already.

This track has my favourite fill-riffs of all time. It's awesome rock guitar playing. So many cool parts and the nest little arpeggio at the end I've ever heard!

He had the best years with VH then 3 hit solo albums in a row and worked with some fantastic musicians. Even on the albums where he wasn’t as successful he still had Ray Luzier on drums.

Hey! According to this video there is only about a year until Dave retires! The impression that I get is that each of his videos is like a 4 or 5 min. look into Dave’s day... the rest of the 24 hours is exactly like the videos. And I think if a ‘normal’ person tried to spend 5 minutes in Dave’s world they’d probably explode. Thank goodness we have Dave to be that gigantic character for us all.
